Re: Canucks News N Notes 24-25
Hope he's not rushing back - but then he's giving us a reason to watch tonight.
*Two lowest scoring teams in 2025 - should be a barn-burner.

Quinn Hughes traveled to Calgary with the Canucks and is a possibility to play tonight.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 24-25
It’s Quinn Hughes All By Himself in Vancouver. All falls on his shoulders. What a weight to carry in a hockey mad market. Can you imagine if he has MacKinnon and Necas like Makar has? Or Scheifele, Connor, Vilardi, Ehlers like Morrissey has or McDavid, Draisaitl like Bouchard has or Rantanen, Robertson, Rintz, Johnston, Benn, Duchene, Seguin like Heiskenen has or Stone, Eichel like Theodore has or Boldy and Kaprizov like Faber has? The power house western conference? Who in their right mind in this organization thinks we are getting past the first round? This is a loooooonnnnngggg term repair job, big time.
Our forward group is awwwwwwwwwwesooooooommmmme…

Can someone break a bone somewhere on him - like a forearm or something?? I get the competitive urge and the need for a captain to set an example, but coming back early and playing hurt for nothing is just stupidity.
Just flush this team down the drain already this season. Can we just fast-forward to the draft already??

And what an exciting draft it would've been had we...
- picked up a 1st or 2nd for Brock
- a 2nd or 3rd for Pius
- kept the 1st from the Miller trade
- slid further down in the standings from these moves to improve our own 1st
Even though Marcus Pettersson had a rough game last night, I do really like him. But was it so necessary to get him and O'Connor now when there was a decent chance to claim them both for no acquisition costs in the summer? Good chance we're missing the playoffs so we just threw away several high draft picks plus a prospect in Fernstrom for nothing.
As the wheels of stupidity go round and round, round and round....

Smart is not what this organization does. The opposite. We’ve become the Harold Ballard era Maple leaves under the Aqualini’s

Would also like to include Guenther as part of the promising future we pissed away. Yes, of course that was years ago and there’s no guarantee we would’ve selected him. But I’m including this one as another indictment on Harold Aquilini or Francesco Ballard, whatever we want to call him, because it was another perfect example of a panic move to salvage the present, serving the mandate. Good bet greenlit if not imposed by the master of puppets himself, while he conveniently gets to hide behind his hand-chosen scapegoat to dodge the bullets.
And yet again we lose out on a beauty of a young player to build around...AND have to incur the cap penalties for years to come. At least we got Garland but what a massively franchise crippling move to add to the long list.
Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse. Can't help it, team's going in the shitter and gotta vent.

Allvin is a genius. Should be executive of the year.Nuckertuzzi wrote: ↑Wed Mar 12, 2025 5:39 pmChef Boi RD wrote: ↑Wed Mar 12, 2025 4:42 pm Smart is not what this organization does. The opposite. We’ve become the Harold Ballard era Maple leaves under the Aqualini’s

Re: Canucks News N Notes 24-25
I imagine Allvin and Babe Ruth think they can trade their way out of the mess they put themselves in, unfortunately every trade they make lowers the skill level of this team. It’s going in the wrong direction for them. And regarding the ‘tradeable assets’, the quality assets, the quantity of quality or should I say lack thereof - to trade, is as as bleak as the DTES.
There is only one way out of this - a tear it down full tank rebuild! Stop kidding yourselves

Do you also give up this easily in life as well? Like, what's your SIN? Some of us could use the help.Lancer wrote: ↑Wed Mar 12, 2025 11:51 am Can someone break a bone somewhere on him - like a forearm or something?? I have that in me, like Jake LaMotta at the kitchen table. But what gets Chefs goat sometimes is this weird spin cycle, this regime seems to be frolicking in and that is, flipping assets from a trade to get what they want from somewhere else. They keep trying to recreate the flip a pick for Hronek scene, like they have a patent on it. The stubbornness with regards to this seems to have taken a hold of them. Me, myself? I would rather see some patience in their mindset. Hronek is fine but I’d rather have Sandin Pellika whom Detroit picked with that flipped pick. He’s a beauty prospect.306NucksFan wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 7:38 amI feel like you are overreacting.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Wed Mar 12, 2025 7:12 pm I imagine Allvin and Babe Ruth think they can trade their way out of the mess they put themselves in, unfortunately every trade they make lowers the skill level of this team. This regime is making the same mistake as the Elmer regime in that they foolishly believe they can trade their way to the top but unfortunately with each trade they make it has turned this team into a one star team with a bunch of average players - welcome to the mushy middle. You win with your horses, bottom line, not your Jabrones.
Jabrones are the no name nobody WWF wrestlers whom the Rock dropped the rock bottom people’s elbow on with vicious ferocity.
