Mëds is stuck in 2015 numbers. Pettersson is a PPG guy over his career and a very good two way player. Did MeDick complainwhen he outperformed his previous contracts? Nope. He's worth 9.5- 10 all day. Need him to go the extra mile. Does he have it in him? I suspect this will get sorted out soon or someone is gone.
Too much smoke here. One of the soft Swede or the Salty American is going to get the boot. 2025 is the year.
Because HARGRAVES SAID SO !!!!!

Listen Doyle, Burke may be off his rocker sometimes but he’s been around, he knows a thing or two. He’s worked for how many clubs as an executive?
Hartford
Vancouver
Anaheim
Toronto
Calgary
Pittsburgh
Look at that resume! He knows his shit!

Well I'd say there's been 11 months of days in a row that contradict your claim there Blobster.
I didn't forget anything. He outperformed his ELC by a mile. He was decent money in year 1 of his 2nd contract, blew year 2 outta the water, and was worth that $9.5M for the first 4 months of his 6th season.
Never thought he was gonna be a game breaker or leader that we could count on.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..
I do find it interesting in how we’ve seen 3 big star level players traded in Eichel, Tkachuk and Reinhart and how their new teams Las Vegas and Florida have both won cups with them while their the old teams got considerably worst after the trades. Are y’all sure you want to let go of Petey? The Neely curse continued?

Good point chef.

If these two can't figure it out then I think Canucks Management needs to go to Hughes, quietly, and say, "Who do you want to stay?"
It is also telling, as others have pointed out, that Pettersson played well when Miller was out but the opposite has not happened. This is a critical moment for the franchise, not just for this season but quite possibly for the next 10 years. They need to get it right, if the two can not coexist, move one out for the best deal you can get, hopefully a 1st, mid to top 6 winger and a RD.
If one has to go it’s Miller for me. He seems checked out. Hasn’t scored a goal on a goalie in regulation time since late October and the two he has scored were empty netters. Canucks and Petey played good hockey while Miller went on leave and have sucked with him back as well as Petey. But more importantly it’s Millers age vs Petey that comes into play,
If you are trading one of these centres you need to get a centre back, plain and simple.

I’m leaning towards JT as well being the one gone. Although Mëds has me worried about cap hit of EP does not get back to 90-100 points a season.
Friedman saying the Canucks are prioritizing a C in any trade return. Guess that makes sense, Canucks D should be much better once their top pairing returns.

Ideally, I would like to see the Canucks move out JT as well. But ship out whoever brings back the best return.
