Markstrom 31.
Demko 25.
Tag in the contracts and long term outlook.
...no brainer.
Yeah. I wasn’t happy to see him go, but with Holtby brought in I too figured it made sense. Especially monetary sense.
Also, our team wasn’t ready for a run just yet, so, yeah, younger seemed to make sense.
But now he is putting up Vezina race numbers.....
Whatever you do, always give 100 %!

He wants to play in the olympics.
The 'Chain of Command' is the chain I am going to beat you with until you understand I am in charge.
"He was a guy that I've respected my whole career but that is gone today," said Lapierre of Toews. "He is the captain, it is his responsibility to take charge. It is a hard thing to do, but it is a thing that must be done and if you're a leader you just do it."
He might be a champion on the ice, but he is far from it off the ice,

I wonder what Mark Messier would have done?
I think if it were Slats and/or Iron Mike in the criticized mgmt roles, I don't think Mess would have thrown them under the bus neither. Luv him or h8 him, I think Mess would take a stand for his m8s.

Jonathan Toews is a captain. He’s a winner. He’s all those things… but he may be a little human

Toews is one of the most overrated captains and players in NHL hockey history, never liked the douchey fuck, not surprised with him piling on Beach at the next training camp after the incident, it’s so chicken shit Toews. Glad he has this black mark in his hockey legacy to be honest, it will override his career achievements end of the day, cause at the end of the day it’s all about your humanity, not your trophies. Looks good on the douche fuck because it shows who he really is
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau
I don't think Toews is overrated purely as a player but he's a deplorable Captain. I suppose one could say he's led by example in regards to drive and
pure hockey skills but his personality has always seemed somewhat conceded. Never a good spokesperson. Always seemed forced.
Yeah...I never had any particular affinity for Luongo.
He played some stellar hockey during a variety of occasions especially when he first arrived (that last OT game versus Anaheim for instance - the one where he actually shit his pants instead of the bed) but it quickly became clear his mind was fzr to warped to maintain an elite level consistency or step his game up when it mattered most.
