I think that’s been overblown but none of us really know much about it. Who wasn’t an asshole as a 19 year old?

And no they shouldn't've.
Reefles thinks there's such a thing as too many picks in a deep draft. Cuz, like, you'll have too many good players and not know what to do with em all.
It is hard for any team to bring in 3 young players all at the same age group. It would have/of/fuckoffdoc/has/fuckoffdoc been better to move 1 pick to another year unless there 3 someone specials they needed. If you do not understand this then you should go back to playing X and O on the chalk board.

I thinking understand what reef is saying, but that's only an issue if maturity is an issue. When you recruit kids with good character like Horvat and Pettersson, you don't have to worry about them as much.

When you get 19 year old assholes, coming into an 'old mans' team (like McCann and Virtanen did), they tend to run together and get into trouble and make bad habits like every other 19 year old. If we could have assimilated them one at a time, it might have been different. But back then, with that lineup, it wasn't an option.

I am not even saying they could not do it but how many teams will ever bring in 3 rookies in 1 - 2 years? Spread it out and have more in the pipeline at different ages or move a pick out for a further along prospect that fits their future needs.

We see many team not able to properly develop prospects and giving them time in the minors so again having 3 all the same age can increase that difficulty.

Lots of teams have brought in three rookies Reef, that wasn’t the problem. The rest of the team was garbage and none of the kids were ready.

Its pretty uncommon, and when they do the rookies were at varying stages - e.g. NCAA, farm graduates, high draft picks.

I agree with reef - with that many 1sts, the scouting must of (wot?) Been stretched pretty thin as well.

Who exactly? I don’t remember anyone saying Forsling was great? Who exactly is looking foolish out of curiosity?

Forsling or whatever. We got what we got. We need to meld as a team and come up with playoff numbers whatever they are. We as Canuck fans are looking up instead of down. No more bottom feeder even if the next draft is full of Crosby's and McDavids. We are on the rise and screw those who say otherwise.
