- instead of Puljujarvi, one of Juolevi or Tkachuk
LOL because Olaf is so much better.
Yes, Olli Juolevi is still a top prospect for the Canucks

I'm actually quite excited for Olli, he is definitely something this team needs.

13 points in 18 AHL games - a 50+ point pace - after having discectomy in June. The knee injury/surgery was a bummer, but realistically the recovery for back surgeries is a year - just ask Edler and Boeser.

From the article:
The truth is that Juolevi was the wrong pick at fifth overall — Matthew Tkachuk, Clayton Keller, and Mikhail Sergachev
I agree on Tkachuk, disagree on Keller and am on the fence about Sergachev. With Keller, he's projecting to be a 50-60 point winger, which are easier to acquire than a top-4 D.

With Sergachev, I just can't see a guy like him getting the strictly-offensive opportunity that he's been given in Tampa. I don't think there's ever been a defenceman who only starts in the o-zone, plays the PP, and finishes with 40 points on 15 min/game. Certainly no Canuck (Forward or D) has ever been put in that situation, at least not since Hodgson. And I think there's a realistic chance the Juolevi becomes a better NHL Dman than Sergachev.

McAvoy is currently looking like the best dman in the 2016 class, but with his injuries I'd say that title is in striking distance, if Juolevi's injuries are behind him.

The only thing that gets Blob back to the board is defending his bald spot

I guess since he can't complain about Benning anymore, that's all he's got! :drink:

Loui Eriksson to his hometown his family moved to with the Dallas Stars in return for Andrew Cogliano.

Eriksson (40% retention), Canucks retain $2.4M x 3 years.
= $3.6M x 3yrs for Stars.

Andrew Cogliano = $3.25M x 2yrs for Canucks.

$5.65M cap hit for a couple years for the Canucks after this move, but we move out Loui who doesn't appear happy here anymore while Green doesn't care much for him or his salary.

In the 3rd last year just left with a $2.4M cap hit, as Cogs moves on.

Cogliano is a wily ol' vet with a ton of speed and a penalty kill wiz, should fit in well with Green's "relentless" attack.
THN:
Has explosive speed, which can place a ton of pressure on opposing defenses. Is a smart two-way player who can play either wing position. Kills penalties with aplomb. Is as durable as any player in the NHL.

Lacks ideal size for the NHL game, so he can get knocked off the puck too easily from time to time. Needs to play with more game-to-game consistency in terms of his offensive production. Goes into slumps.
While Eriksson gets to play with a ton of vets in Seguin, Benn, Pavelski, Radulov, Perry where he can get his scoring mojo back again as they are more his speed.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

The only thing that gets Blob back to the board is feeling good about his small bald spot but howling at Docs massive bald PATCH mounted on his chunky 5 ft 2, 300 lb figure

Blobs cul-de-sac should be its own thread where blob spends his time defending the size of his bald spot
