RD - in all seriousness would you take him for the right trade (one where we do not give up a lot)?

Take this past season out and assume he can get 60 points again, would you take him?

Dubas won’t have any problem moving Nylander for a decent return

So if you Bubbles is the Canucks GM what are you ok with giving up to make Dubas jump on this “decent return” for Nylander you speak of?

I really don’t want him here unless it’s super cheap. The Canucks don’t have much in the way of assets to give up for him but that doesn’t mean other teams won’t be interested

I think they'd move him for a dman, and I could see Edmonton (Klefbom/Larsson could be targets), Pittsburgh (Maata), FLA (Matheson) or Arizona (Chychrun) having interest.

You think Edmonton is going to part with a blueliner to bring in yet another soft scoring winger who held out for half the season on his first deal and then woefully underwhelmed after finally signing and showing up? :look:

Yeah. It's a stupid ass move, so I suppose could see Edmonton doing it.

Same story for Pittsburgh actually. Unless they divest themselves of Horqvist or Kessel.....both are more useful players, although the former is not as talented as Nylander.

I actually can't think of many teams that would be interested in Nylander right now if the cost is going to be a legit top-4 defenseman on a decent contract (which is a must for Toronto right now).....what teams have the surplus of blueline riches that Nylander would actually be filling a need for them to pull the trigger?
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Fuck, I'd do that.

We help them with the cap by weaponizing our cap space. Eat that salary for a few years, pump up the softy no-show swede then flip him.

They can sign Kapanen, a better player for less. They can pay Marner. They get someone who can actually play D.

Really, are they going to continue to have Hainsey as their #1 right-side D? Laughable for a "contender". They're already going to lose Gardiner for nothing.

Maybe we should also trade them Hutton for Kapanen?

All that and their 1st in this year's draft.

Is this worse than a Skyo fantasy?

Its at least an equally absurd suggestion.

TO needs to do something...anything to improve that mess. Our suggestion would alleviate some of the pressure...not all though. Thats worth a later 1st

Curious what do you think the Canucks would have to trade to get Nylander?

Nylander is a soft perimeter player who disappears in tough games and is putrid in playoff games. Makes way too much money. 7 goals 56 games
