C'mon Per; After this game right now is over, from your perspective, where we pick, who's the best bet?

There should be if consider the top 10 to end up something like

Hughes
Kakko
Turcotte
Byram
Cozens
Boldy
Dach
Zegras
Podkozlin
Krebs

That leaves Caulfield (ew) and Newhook. I think there is a good chance Caulfield goes ahead of us and maybe one of those mid 1st round ranked D-men.

I believe two of Newhook, Krebs, Podkozlin, Caulfield, Zegras or Boldy will be available at 10. I think Jim takes a D-man if Boldy isn’t there

At the same time, I believe Jim may succumb to pleasing the crowd, taking a D-man could ignite the fire brigade (1040/HF). Could see him taking a crowd pleaser like Caulfield in Jim’s contract year which will go against everything he stands for.
Don't mean to be crude, but it's f**king hard this year, isn't it? All I can say is BPA, I guess.

Why pick a goalie in the first round?

Nonis did. It got Holiks Agent - Bo Horvat. The Islanders did. It’s got Bures Agent - Markstrom. (Thanks again to Nonis).

The Canucks will draft one of Broberg or Soderstrom and then trade Tanev for Kapananen. Something like that.

For sure and they already blew their wad on 10 billion williom so to sign marner will gut the remainder of their cap space. They're fucked and will lose decent assets like Kapanen for far less than they should be commanding

If the Canucks were to scoop Kapanen, it would be coup of the year. Great thought but could they really be that stupid?
The bad blood between Dubas and Nylander is there and still strong. That is who they will shop. Either that or specs gets the axe.

Sunday 10:51 AM...
Hard to say, but Broberg had a fantastic tournament. Really solid performance. He grew on me.
7 Points in 6 games is pretty decent for a D-man, don't you think?

Then you have to keep an eye on Lucas Raymond, who scored a hat trick against Russia in the final, including the GWG in over time.
Everybody loves Raymond.
Unfortuantely, he is not available until the 2020 draft.

Nylander will almost certainly play in the world championships. He has stated he wants to, but he is not on the roster yet, but he was one of the better Swedish players there last year, so I'm pretty sure he will get the call. They're just not wanting to give all the slots away yet.
That would be a great chance to showcase him if Toronto wants to trade his ass. And if they do, he will surely hate them, and so he will fit right in in Vancouver! 8-)

Nylander is most likely done in Toronto but teams will be very hesitant to take on that contract giving up quality assets for. Dubas missed his opportunity. Edmonton should offer up Puljujarvi
