In the regular season.

Maybe even in the playoffs, too -- if they play for a team favourably regarded by NHL officials. Pettersson, however, was drafted by the Canucks.

Looking over the posts on this board over the last seven years, most would conclude that the 2011 Stanley Cup Final made a more lasting impression on other Canucks fans than it seems to have made on SKYO.

Certainly not. But if you're going to ice a small player, you had better have a plan in place to protect him.

Instead of spending $6M on Kane, could instead spend a few bucks on Patty Maroon?

Then have a 3rd line of Maroon - Pettersson - Eriksson (if can't get rid of LE, might as well use him with the rookie).
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

That might be effective.

What was Eichel's size when drafted?
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

I think Johnny Geadreau is a good comparable for physical deficiencies, and he was 21 when he made the NHL.

Gaudreau - 5'-9" - 157 lbs
Marner - 5'-11" - 170 lbs

Should I keep going, Bushmills?

Bubbles he's actually now up close to 170lbs, please drop the 160 lbs bit
And these guys are 2 - 5 inches shorter. Kerfoot is now 175 lbs and four inches shorter. I like Pettersson but I don’t want the kid to get obliterated out there. Have a look at the video ESQ posted. He would still be skinny if you added 25 pounds to that skeletal frame. Keep in mind he’s a calendar year older than a lot of the kids in his draft class and it may take a while for him to pack on pounds. His brother is still very slight at 24. Pump the kid full of beef roids I say.

Seriously, Maroon would not be able to protect Pettersson.

Bubbles is right, we all need to cool our jets and be bearish on Pettersson. His ceiling at best is a poor mans Ryan Nugent Hopkins light. Book written! Just like the book that was written on Juolevi five seconds after we selected him over Tkachuk. Where are the Nick Ritchie's and terrible skating Vilardi's when you need them?

Yeah that’s what I said

Vilardi is tearing up the OHL. You guys seem to want to see the kid get hurt

Vilardi is a worse skater than Dal Colle and Dylan Strome combined and those guys tore up the ohl as well.
