Hamilton and Seguin is a far moe valuable package to a team than Kessel and it isn't even close . Not to mention that they are five years younger . That trade was brutal for Toronto regardless of what Boston did with Seguin

So Phil left practice with a stiff unmentionable body part on his birthday.http://www.torontosun.com/2014/10/02/le ... -body-part
Coach Randy Carlyle said after the hour-long workout to end the team’s three-day getaway that Kessel left with “a sore body part.”
“(The training staff) just said it was something stiff. I cannot describe what it was.”

Maybe he decided to go fuck himself!

So Gunnarsson can't start the season. Nonis robbed the Blues blind by trading them damaged goods. Polak has looked great. I told all of you Gunnar will never be the same. And you guys were saying he was their best D-Man. LOL.

How classic was that tonight. The Leaves squander the early lead, fall behind, but manage to tie the game with 2:19 left in the game.....and then surrender the winning goal with 43 seconds to go.
Vintage Maple Leaves.....choke.

Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..
Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
I got home from the field the other day and took my kid to skating lessons yesterday. While I was gone my wife had his skates sharpened and the guy gave him some blade protectors. Kid chose the ones with the Maple Leaf's logo because "they're the bad guys and its going to get cut up by my skate blade".
So, leaves captain gets blown by for a Habs goal on the first shot of the game.
So leaves goalie gives up and easy one on the first shot of the game.
So Bernier comes out for the second period and heads to the wrong end of the ice.
So the leaves jump to a lead assisted by an offside goal only to have the Habs come back.
So the greatest goal scorer of the last 3 years has the tying goal on his stick but his idea of clutch is grabbing cookies.
There are three bullets in the revolver with Carlyle and Hartley playing catch.
What a day for a tuna fish sandwich.

And today the leaves have claimed forward Richard Panik off of waivers from the Tampa Bay Lightning. Something in the name says it all.

Be prepared to hear from a bottom feeding fish located in the navel gazing capital of the known universe to declare Panik is the greatest defensive forward since Bob Gainey and all is well with "Canada's Team."Hockey Widow wrote:And today the leaves have claimed forward Richard Panik off of waivers from the Tampa Bay Lightning. Consistently unconcerned about losing you mean?BigTuna wrote: A complete myth that is completely untrue. He's actually been one of the most consistent players the last few seasons.
Dave Hodge wrote: My thumb is down to Phil Kessel, and I know—that means I have to stand in line. But really, shouldn’t Kessel think for half a second and realize that his best reaction to his part in Toronto’s season-opening loss against Montreal was not “you guys need to relax”? Nobody’s relaxing, Phil, except, perhaps, you in the leaves’ Saturday night clunker against Pittsburgh. It doesn’t match Kessel’s chart-topping tweet from April that declared “Night fishing with friends—doesn’t get much better”. The sting of missing the playoffs had worn off, apparently. What Toronto fans need to hear from Kessel is that losses bother him. Even if they don’t.
Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
Carlyle calls Kessel and Clarkson out for lack of conditioning while injured and Phat Phil's response is "Relax, its only the first game."
Are games early in the season worth fewer points than those later in the season?

He really did look chubby in that interview but o guess tv adds 10 pounds.
We know who the character problems are on that team. Wonder if Nonis has it in him to cut bait and run.
