The Munchies / Snackin' thread. Sponsored by the Wiz

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Ok, we're old and we like our snacks. :)

Tell me what I'm missing by living in this god-forsaken wasteland.

I like the original Old Dutch Sour Cream 'N Onion Chips. The ones in the black and yellow bag, not the Sour Cream and Green Onion that are easier to find now. Or the Old Dutch Ripple with some Nalley's dip. The Old Dutch Popcorn Twists are great too, now that I'm thinking about this. Old Dutch Humpty Dumpty Party Mix.

But you must miss our local Westernized Cantonese food Cornuck. We all grew up on that shit around here and it's always the thing I miss most of all food wise whenever I'm away.

There's nothing like a bowl of roasted salted pistachios. I eat them till my tongue gets cut up from fishing out that bitter skin inside the shell.

I miss all good food out here in Nebraska. Any decent place will be a steakhouse (which is ok). What I missed when I first moved to Vegas was good bar/pub food.

There isn't a decent Westernized Cantonese restaurant within 100 miles.

The frozen fudge bars (no name brand) at No Frills. They are way better than the original Fudgesicle brand. I also like Maynard's wine gums. I tend to snack only on weekends. During the week - I don't eat anything after supper.

When the kid got picked up by a Spokane based team, his coach said I was responsible for the boxes of potato chips he remembered from his youth hockey forays to Canada. Boxes of Old Dutch was a staple in the team pits.

Ketchup chips are disgusting.

Cornuck, ask for Smarties at the store down there. LOL

Smoked salmon, is what you are missing.
