The crowd goes wild.
That was quite an ovation there for McDavid...
Yes, you could tell they were very aware of the moment.
I think they were on their feet before the goal was even in the net.

Too bad it happened vs us. He's a great player. Not as though he choose where he went.
Sportsnet update was up in seconds.
Oh I'm sure Edmonton would have been at the bottom of his list of places to play. That cost him a bloody fortune AND he has to live there.

That was an authentic sports moment right there if ever there was one.
Fake crowd, fake record, really memorable stuff...

Never say die, never say die, never say die...
Wouldn't it be nice if the story ended up being:
"Connor McDavid scored 4 points to reach 100 points in 53 games
... but the Oilers lost the game to the Vancouver Canucks."

HAHA that's right!
Every time they replay that goal with the announcer going "Connor McDAAAAAAAAAV
iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii d"
... it'll be over a fake crowd backdrop.

It's just ridiculous. Why is 100 points so much different than 99 in this situation.

Why do they keep calling this a historic night?
Gretzky scored 100 points 34 games. That's 19 fewer than McDoofus has done it.
Since it's been done before, and faster, this isn't history being made.

This thing has been completely manufactured by Sportsnet and the writers. It's really dumb.
