SOG totals indicative of finally having more than two lines going. Without the PP, the Coil do not have the 5v5 depth or heart to beat us.

Haven't seen us consistently out-hitting teams in the playoffs since the 90s. It's a lot nicer being the hammer.

I’m sure it’s noticed and appreciated in the room. Now they know what it’s like when they win around here.

Half way through this game I was sure the refs would be deciding the Canucks would lose.
Nils Aman was really impressive on the PK, very Blueger like.
If they lose Blueger to the cap crunch, they are still looking okay at centre on the fourth line with Aman.

Scratching Mikheyev was a masterstroke by Tocchet.

More of that please.

McDavid was looking a little tired tonight. The minutes are catching up.

Yup. He’s too perimeter. Need more net drivers and crashers. I thought the 4th line was great tonight. Putting lindholm with Petey was brilliant. Hog looked better

This game was the first time in a while where I saw the boys play like they normally do between the circles and the blueline in their own zone. Disrupting pucks high in the zone and making controlled exits. Making good reads and being aggressive with pressure on the puck carrier. It's like they stopped playing scared of Edmonton's forwards and calmed down. If we see that kind of play in Game 6, I like our chances even more.

From there, it just carried over into the offensive zone. Yeah, I have to say Petey's feeling something - just doesn't have the strength in his arms or something. Still, he played hard and did pretty good out there. I think it's best to keep him at hybrid centre/wing with Lindholm.

One more, boys. One More!!! :towel:

PDG34 should have a kid every game, he looked like a Marty Gelinas out there. Maybe the Aqua-man has some underground connections there to make it happen. :P

Nice to see the fans giving Petey some luv trying to get him going. I thought it was a smart move by Tocc to move EP40 to the wing too, less pressure there and he can focus more on O. Even though Petey didn't score, I thought he looked good and was trying hard. Don't like breaking the DJ81-EL23-CG8 line, but sometimes u gotta do what u gotta do.

Nice to see Millzy9 get the big goal. He had a great game and played with much more composure in comparison to the last one. Millzy our modern day Rod Brind'amour. :D

Meant to tape the game but the vcr calved. Had to watch on dvr instead.

Very complete game. It looked like the Zebras were doing everything they could to help Edmonton right out of the gate. To no avail…..we totally shutdown their PP. I think that’s only the first or second game of the playoffs that Edmonton hasn’t registered a PP goal.

That charging penalty on 11.6 was such a joke. I wonder if Mark Spector has an answer for that…..

I barely noticed McDavid tonight. They were very timely at taking his space away. I do wonder if the minutes are catching up…..oh well. Hit him hard and hit him often on Saturday.

Boeser not as noticeable, but JT with hos best game of the series.

Loved that Soucy scored.

This was Petey’s best game of the playoffs. The lineup change was a huge difference maker. Petey actually shooting the puck forced Edmonton to adjust in the 2nd period. This created more space for his mates.

Our passing overall was very crisp compared to the first 4 games.

The 81-53-8 line was also firing. Garland is a whirling dervish out there and they gave Edmonton fits.

If you take the zebras out of this series I think the Canucks would have taken it in 5.
