When Green was extended I was bracing for this but hoping for bounce back from a few guys.

When Petey and Hughes held out and missed training camp and pre-season I was concerned that hope had been erroneous.

After the season opener I fully expected what we see right now.
I was in the clean house camp in the off-season, it was a big mistake to extend him. Heading into tonight I was sure a blowout loss would have sealed Green's fate, but as Meg said, the boss will be in a foul mood after this one, so it could still happen.

I’m beginning to think the “dump and don’t chase” and the “fly by forecheck” strategies might not be working?
Talk about a team that puts no pressure in the offensive zone until the last five minutes when they’re behind.
Good thing there’s no grit left on the team. That would have just screwed up the whole team strategy.

Well, at least My superpower still works. :hmmm:

Time to depress Benning. Suck it up and fire the coach.
We are all Snidely Whiplash.

They’ve honestly stunk for most of the nine games they’ve played. No speed, no puck pressure, no physicality, no attention to detail. They look terrible.

#Canucks have been defeated in regulation in three consecutive home games to start the 2021-22 season.

That hasn't happened to the Canucks franchise in 37 years, since the 1984-85 season when Bill LaForge was head coach.

Damning and remarkable.
Oh my.

Mr Aquilini will need to hear some reassuring talking from Jimmy tonight.

This is the hard part of the job, but Jimmy handles it with rare skill. A lesser man could not protect Greener's job in this situation.

These piss poor 1st periods are burying the team. Why aren't they ready to rock? It's so predictable.

That's 100% on this substandard coaching group. Green, King and Bumgarner are the Chahpoo, Smegma, Granlund of the coaching world

Maybe he knows the coach will be fired before the puck drops for the 10th game of the year?

If I'm looking for positives for this season so far, it would be that:

The top 4 Dmen, when all are healthy, has actually been very solid. There was a huge question mark going in but it's been more than fine.

Goaltending has been stellar. Even the Halak has played well for the most part.

The best forwards have been their two smallest ones. That's it. No one else.

The list of negatives are far too long to mention tonight.
