But didn't you hear it is all the Olympics fault, the fans of NYI are upset that he wont be available for 10 more home games. Gee maybe they will slip to 30th overall for home attendance instead of 29.

What a goof, he actually make Burke and No-nuts look good.
He wants the IOC to offer the Islanders season ticket holders refunds. When are the Islanders going to start offering refunds for what they've put their fans through?

I do enjoy how he's demanding compensation when the IIHF-paid insurance coverage will be paying Tavares medical costs and salary until he is ready to return..

At least they can build a winning team.

Cool beans . The leaves currently occupy a playoff spot in a very weak conference. Brian Burke and Dave Nonis are both batting about 500 (Burke actually might be lower than that ) when it comes to constructing playoff hockey teams. That is NOT a good record.

Seriously, keep coming back it's fun bitchslapping you.

Burke's 1 a cup and he built the contender in Vancouver. And he set-up Toronto nicely.

He's not even a GM really. Wang tells him what to do. Wang probably likes having a GM like that. Millbury actually had to quit to leave. Wang didn't want to fire him.

+1

The Islanders have been a disgrace for decades. Must be painful for their faithful.

The Panthers and Thomas are in talks for a one year extension. I guess Luongo is getting beat out once again by that guy

I guess Tallon is happy with his team sucking hind tit until such time their 'Goaltender of the Future' Markstrom is finally ready to come out of the shelter they've kept over him. If I'm Luongo, geography notwithstanding I'd be happy to not go there.

Because Vancouver's 2011 run had nothing to do with Gillis's acquisitions of:

Hamuis
Ehrhoff
Torres
Malhotra
Higgins
Tanev
Sammuellson (sp?)
Lappiere
Rome

Dave Nonis acquiring Sopel, Carney and Weinrich too add to the core were way better moves.

BB gets credit for the WCE days while people forget that Quinn added Naslund and Keenan brought in Bertuzzi.

I love fans like you - not a word for the past 5 years as the leaves suck, then as soon as they are a few points ahead you come on here and yap. Where have you been?

The leaves are not a good team. They get outshot and outchances most games unless they are playing a shitty team like the Canucks. The leaves will be lucky to win a playoff round in possibly the weakest eastern conference I have ever seen.
