Don't always agree with Doyle's assessments of the Canuck's prospects, but I agree with this. Seems more like affirmative action than signing a blue chip prospect. (Or do they call it a diversity signing now?? Can't remember all the PC stuff)Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 10:10 am
Hargraves uses common sense to come to the conclusion that Chatfield is not going to be an NHL regular barring a miracle that provides him with hands, hockey sense, a decent shot, the ability to thread the needle with a pass all at age 25. It ain’t happening. 7 or 8 point a year d men in the AHL generally don’t find long term work in the show.

So, he's a #7/8 D-men? We kinda need some of those guys too.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 9:47 amHargraves knows that Chafield is a poor player. He averages about a point every ten games in the AHL. That is horrendous even if the guy was a rock defensively. He’s 25 in the new year. This is as good as it gets.

No.... more like he shouldn’t be higher than 11 or 12 in the organization. He is a garbage can. Juolevi and Benn are 7/8 D men.Tciso wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 10:39 amSo, he's a #7/8 D-men? "What are you, a farmer?" - De Niro in American Hustle
Everyone expects him to continue biting boners on the farm Doyle.
Unless maybe there's a Covid outbreak on the Canucks I guess...

I think we should have drafted Jim’s nephew Michael. 7 points in 5 games so far as a rookie rhd playing in Denver. Maybe mike will play all four years like Matt and sign with us a ufa....

Doyle is a piss-tank. The hardcore boozing makes him hate Bennings draft picks. A different story if it was Gillis. Hargraves loved Gillis. Doyle loved that bum Ryan Stanton because his Boi Gillis brought him in.

Looking a bit better than Joanie Cunningham out of the gate isn’t he? I think Benning was probably worried about nepotism. Michael Benning had great numbers last year in the AJHL.Richardstroker69 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 5:35 pm I think we should have drafted Jim’s nephew Michael. 7 points in 5 games so far as a rookie rhd playing in Denver.
