I hate the leaves, one thing I hate almost the same is fans of the game using salaries in arguments over cap hits.
As fans of a team, the actual dollar value should mean absolute shit...it's not our money so why anyone cries over the dollar value being paid is beyond me.
The cap hit is another story. Cap hits are related to what a team can bring in for help.
leaves have about 10M in cap space next season and only 14 players signed...Marner is going to eat up every penny of that 10M and then the team has to find another 7-8 players, including a top 4 D.
Signing John "we don't need you" Tavares fucked the teams cap situation beyond belief...I can't stop laughing.
Islanders have an equal if not better team and about 35M to play with next season. They also have 15 or 16 players signed including all their D. They need to replace Sbisa

Do you REALLY think this? Look at that Islanders roster. It screams regression next year. They simply don't have much talent. And can they count on .930% goaltending again? Toronto has far more talent. Toronto has 4 60+ point players. Islanders have 0 this season.
Islanders are a hard-working and well coached team that simply lacks the talent to repeat this.

Nylander asked for 8.5 million per....He dropped a heck of a lot more than Dubas increased his offer. So how do you figure? Nylander wanted the Draisaitk deal. But Leaves gave him $7.5M-per on a 6 year deal!
