I hate the leaves, one thing I hate almost the same is fans of the game using salaries in arguments over cap hits.

As fans of a team, the actual dollar value should mean absolute shit...it's not our money so why anyone cries over the dollar value being paid is beyond me.
The cap hit is another story. Cap hits are related to what a team can bring in for help.
Leaves have about 10M in cap space next season and only 14 players signed...Marner is going to eat up every penny of that 10M and then the team has to find another 7-8 players, including a top 4 D.
Signing John "we don't need you" Tavares fucked the teams cap situation beyond belief...I can't stop laughing.
Islanders have an equal if not better team and about 35M to play with next season. They also have 15 or 16 players signed including all their D. They need to replace Sbisa![]()

I agree for the most part, but in this particular case it's important to note that Willy went to war with Dumbass and crushed him like a bug.vic wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 11:25 amI hate the Leaves, one thing I hate almost the same is fans of the game using salaries in arguments over cap hits.

20.3 million. Unbelievable. Pretty much what Gillis offered old man Sundin over 2 years.Strangelove wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 4:05 pmI agree for the most part, but in this particular case it's important to note that Willy went to war with Dumbass and crushed him like a bug.vic wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 11:25 amI hate the Leaves, one thing I hate almost the same is fans of the game using salaries in arguments over cap hits.

A total of $20.3M real dollars in his pocket over a 7 month period... to end his extended holdout.
Do you REALLY think this? Look at that Islanders roster. It screams regression next year. They simply don't have much talent. And can they count on .930% goaltending again? Toronto has far more talent. What's interesting, since the Islanders game after tonight Toronto is 3-0 and Islanders 0-2.vic wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 11:25 amI hate the Leaves, one thing I hate almost the same is fans of the game using salaries in arguments over cap hits.

Makes Nylander incredibly valuable in a trade. Poor teams can afford him. Rare that a 22 year-old sees his actual salary lower than his cap hit.RoyalDude wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 7:09 pm20.3 million. Blobbee - your thoughts?
Nylander asked for 8.5 million per....He dropped a heck of a lot more than Dubas increased his offer. So how do you figure? Nylander wanted the Draisaitk deal. That's why it took so long.Strangelove wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 4:05 pmI agree for the most part, but in this particular case it's important to note that Willy went to war with Dumbass and crushed him like a bug.vic wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 11:25 amI hate the Leaves, one thing I hate almost the same is fans of the game using salaries in arguments over cap hits.

The rumour was $8M-per on an 8 year deal
6.9 is his cap hit.Strangelove wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 7:33 pmThe rumour was $8M-per on an 8 year deal
... which becomes ~ $6.5M on a 6 year deal like the one he signed.
But Leaves gave him $7.5M-per on a 6 year deal!![]()
I've read the Leaves forum, 97% of Leafers agree the Nylander camp gangbanged Dubas...
I'm sorry, did you have a point?BigTuna wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 7:36 pm6.9 is his cap hit.Strangelove wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 7:33 pmThe rumour was $8M-per on an 8 year deal

That's a bald-faced lie from the pit of Hell.

Fluke season goal-wise, he's not worth $4.5M.
