Canuck source confirms that following the IIHF World Championships, Blue chip prospect Elias Pettersson is expected to sign with the Canucks.
OMG. Thanks doc. I was so worried, you know. With the history the Canucks have at not being able to sign NCAA players, prospects, RFAs and even UFAs, I was worried.
The only HW the Canucks need

Admittedly it does sound like an acid trip but it was as real as blobs ballsack resting on reefs chinStrangelove wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 9:41 pmSorry Dan, couldn't resist, there are many unexplained things out there and everyone has a story...Uncle dans leg wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 9:37 pm Lol you mock but if you were there you would be trippin along with old uncle dan

Never worried about whether he signs, just when.Strangelove wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 6:47 pmWait... you're worried Pettersson won't sign with Canucks?micky107 wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 1:36 pm At this point it would also be, shall we say, comforting to hear that young Elias has signed an entry level contract, no?

Maybe one of you pc pros can find out more.
I'll just be a little less on edge when he says, I wanna Rock in Vancouver in 2018.
After he's signed will you worry he'll get hit by an asteroid?
It's his choice if he wants to play another year in Sweden, right?
There are some influences attempting to tug, yank, persuade, even, $ entice $ him into one more year playing at home.
I don't think he will but wouldn't you feel better if your Vancouver Canucks get it done now?

An evaluation of some of our prospects.
Do not agree with their rankings but whatever.

After looking at Forsberg's path to the NHL, I have no worries about Elias staying another year in Sweden.micky107 wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 1:47 amNever worried about whether he signs, just when.Strangelove wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 6:47 pmWait... you're worried Pettersson won't sign with Canucks?micky107 wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 1:36 pm At this point it would also be, shall we say, comforting to hear that young Elias has signed an entry level contract, no?

If he arrives in the NHL and is more able to make an impact while on his ELC, all the better.
Plus, if there is one more year to the tank, it'll probably help to keep him over there as well.

It's the franchise. It needs every conceivable aid that could be considered a shot in the arm and preferably, sooner than later.
Everyone saw what Brock was starting to do in this regard, but it has to continue.
We are losing ground exponentially.
Season's tickets.
Jerseys and other Canuck paraphernalia, not just here, but everywhere that has access.
IMO, we need to reestablish ourselves as "hockey crazed" town.
Another year of mediocrity is, for lack of a better phrase, gonna hurt like hell.
And, of course, there's that silly GM ratings list. Last I checked, we were, well never mind.
It wouldn't hurt to have a gleaming reputation among peers.
With Seattle on the very near horizon, we need to get serious and kick some booty in regards to our hockey prowess.
Far be it for me to say I'm crazy about our ownership but the wallet has remained relatively open, though misguided on occasion.
