In case anyone was wondering, Ryan O'Reilly has taken his medical with COL and signed his contract with the Avalanche.
What could have been. It really would have been nice to have some intrigue.

There are already news releases on the official Avalanche site saying they are matching and a synopsis of Sherman's news conference. I doubt they are back tracking.........but if they do...........DANCING BANANAS I'm hearing that both the Flames and the Avs are asking for an official ruling from th...

So what do you do if your are the Avs? Simple. You call the teams that have first dibs on ROR. Shouldn't take Sherman too long...I mean how many teams are actually worse than the Flames? As of this moment, teams below the AVS: AVS Tampa Calgary NYI Florida Buffalo Washington Columbus Hey m...

What else would be nice if the Avs worked that scenario is that Calgary would have to pay the 2.5 signing bonus and it counts towards their cap this year thereby burning 2.5 cap space for future deals. The more I think about the more I like it. Dubinsky , prospect and a 2nd for the Avs 4th? Why not....

You say OK, if we don't match you will pick ROR up for free on waivers. So what will you trade us for a 4th round pick. You m...

It would have been an interesting day had the Avs not matched. This only happens if the RFA actually plays in Europe while holding out. It will be a lesson for RFA's and their agents in the future. But his agent should have know as under the old CBA even the AVS would have had to wait until he clear...

They apparently want Volpatti to get more playing time. If Ebbett gets recalled to replace Kesler we have enough bodies up front. Sounds lie it is a situation where they don't want him sitting in the press box any longer.

The Philadelphia Flyers acquired forward Simon Gagne from the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday for a conditional fourth round pick in 2013. Another bold move by Holmgren. Gagne makes it clear that he is thrilled to be back in Philadelphia and he will not consider waiving his NTC if asked to by the Flye...
