I don't think goalies should be eligible for the Conn Smythe or Hart Trophies for this reason. If the description is taken literally, they'll win both award 9/10 times. I don't agree with the logic. If the goalie takes them to the Cup, then by all means he should have a shot at the Smythe. If he fa...

Sedin Sedin ________

So it makes sense to put Naslund on the Sedin line (for now). Could it be that Vigneault is waiting for someone to prove themselves worthy of playing with the Sedins? Make someone earn the spot? In the meantime, 6-7 games with Naslund playing with them won't hurt. In the meantime, someone should/cou...

Nice to see someone with a hockey background come in.

Now if we could just get someone with a hockey background running the NHL!

Luc Bourdon vs. Anze Kopitar.

Watching the 2005 entry draft, I was really thinking that the Canucks would pick Kopitar with their #10 spot. Instead, they picked Bourdon and the Kings went next and picked up Kopitar. To this day, I don't know why the Canucks wouldn't pick up a big, gifted centre. Sure, top defensemen had hard to ...

I keep hearing how HD will be great for the NHL. Is it really that much clearer for hockey, vs a good digital signal on a good tv?

And the winner is......... Cornuck! - all you see around here is corn fields (and as mentioned, lots of trees). Thanks to Grizzly for that one and everyone else for suggesting names (even the ones who suggested "Chester_the_Molester". Second place is Farm Team. Now I have to find out if I can change...

After teams stop the Ikea line, then what? Expect Linden to score 30 goals? Power play sure, late in the game and need a goal - sure. If they have chemistry great, then let them play together occasionally - not as permanent line. I read that they were a line on some news site and just shook my head.

I wonder how this year will hold up to 1939 - the year to compare others to. Gone with the wind, Wizard of Oz, Dstry Rides Again, Marx Brothers at the Circus, Hunchback of Notre Dame, etc.

Maybe it could be a good year for the decade, but all time? You're also forgetting "Snakes on a Plane".
