Re: Canucks News N Notes 23-24 Playoff Edition

Petey looked injured to me, he didn’t look the same, his skating was off and he looked weak. He’s an excellent player and will return to form. The tendinitis Chef had lasted months was brutal but I managed to work through it but still brutal so I don’t get why some downplay its effects, especially f...

In a redraft of 2021, Wyatt Johnson is going top 5 with Power, Berniers, McTavish and Hughes. Yet horseshoes Dallas lands him at 23rd overall.

Re: Post season wrap up.

I guess another question is - was it worth 'renting Hronek and (maybe) Zadorov to make a bigger push for the playoffs? Was the experience for the core worth losing some picks? I’m undecided on that. I felt we weren’t ready in the curve to make those kinds of moves but I did enjoy the post season!

Re: Post season wrap up.

I rarely mention BenningBuilt nowadays IN FACT you are on the daily mentioning your grievances with Elmer incessantly!!! It’s over the top ridiculous!! I suggest you make the appropriate adjustments and move on from all things Elmer. It’s a horrific broken record you are subjecting us to! It’s not y...

Re: Post season wrap up.

I’d be happy if the Big Z and Joshua returns, and Myers at a haircut. Laff and Cole and DeSmith are gone. And Stone Hands Suter is not a top 6 foreword anymore and All skates and Nothing Else Mikheyev is somehow rocketed outta here!

Lindholm is not going to be a Canuck come July.

No injury reported for Hughes other than a bruised ego after the Nashville series

Re: 2024 Offseason - moving forward

Pay the necessary price to dump Mikheyev. Re-sign Zadorov and Joshua, give them extra term to keep the cap-hit lower. Re-sign Hronek at $7M-ish x 8 (if he insists on more, trade him for Petey's new winger). Re-sign Myers at $3M x 2. Sign Arty Sheila to his first one-way contract. Get another top-6 ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 23-24 Playoff Edition

Tendinitis can be managed in the short term with drugs. Sure, it probably hurt, and sucked to go through - but with ice, drugs and a medical team managing it - it shouldn't have affected his performance that badly. Kind of was hoping it was something a bit more serious, FFS, my Mom used to play ten...

Re: 2024 Offseason - moving forward

The first question in addressing this issue is: what phase of the competitive cycle do you believe the Canucks to be in? Are they still building, or is the core Ready to Compete for the Cup and it's just a matter of finding the right support pieces and fitting them under the cap? It seems that mana...

Re: 2024 Offseason - moving forward

The Russian hurt his knee a year ago - and was an ACL injury that required surgery. Sometimes it takes a year or so for a player to get back up to speed - if he doesn't get hurt again - and that is a big IF, maybe we see some of his speed back this year after a healthy summer of training? It will n...
