Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Even at its highest level, the CHL game is still a Jr game with a few 16 year old kids scattered across every line up. I was impressed by ND very NHL style of play, but also realize that it is an older group of young men. I get it but the damn CHL product needs some serious work. I was amazed at th...

Re: The Great Jim Benning Debate!

Just ask current awesome GMMG who his #1 is D is and is paid like it..... Ask Who? Even a poster with a shred of hockey IQ and knowledge of your Vancouver Canucks would know that GM Mike Gillis was relieved of his duties in April of 2014. And what an amazing situation he left for the next...

Oh no, here he comes, like clockwork - Blobbys Wingman. And there he goes, dodging questions and de-railing threads. Tanev - The UVIC Profs' Legacy. Blobby Itchy and IN Scratchy will make sure you damn well never forget that. I'd say his legacy is icing the best team this franchise has ever had. Bu...

Re: Another one bites the dust

Never was a Prince fan. The Bowie and Haggard losses were far more devastating to the Chef Boi RD house, probably Merle the most. Lemme was an interesting character raw metal - Ace of Spades, I get it. Never dug the stone temple pilots or Eagles, so yeah Merle and Bowie - massive musical losses, the...

Re: Muzac For Munsters

Loving the new Sturgil SImpson and new Richmond Fontaine. Richmond Fontaine's - You Can't Go Back If There is Northing to Go Back To is so far my fave album of the year, fucking brilliant. The new Pines album - Above the Prairie a close second. Also liking the new M. Ward and Damien Jurado. Richmond...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Lucic is a changed man now. He wants to come home as much as Shea Weber and Jamie Benn wanted to come home. Not. Would you want to play in this fishbowl with all these nutbar Canuck fans and media, miserable rainy weather and your family and old highschool buds nagging you all the time? Get me the ...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Pay them enough and they'll come here, it's not Edmonton or Winnipeg. A guy like Lucic, already with his name on the cup, local boy, wouldn't turn down $7.5M to come to BC. The problem is he's not the kind of guy you build around. But I am warming up to the idea. If we're going to lose, I'd rather ...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

I can't say as a I blame guys for not wanting to play in Canada. The pressure can be too much. The taxes are up the ass compared to down south. All of the Canadian teams are the shits. The weather is generally a lot shittier up here. All sharp objects and shoe strings should be kept away from Blobbee
