Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
What a bargain contract Yandles is. 31 yeas old - 7 year contract $45 million, $6.35 million per. He had a great year last season

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
But would you put him on that list of tiny players you put together? Hell even Hunter Smurfkaruk is bigger than him. Just curious, since you keep harping on about size and how important it is to you? 5'-10" - 183 lbsBlob Mckenzie wrote:Vatanen would be a top 4 d man on any team.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Would Vatanen make the puny hockey team list you put together not too long ago, if he was a Canuck? The one with McCann on it?

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka
Yeah seems fair, instead of meeting at a half way point between the two Alberta teams and Vancouver let's put it at the halfway point between Calgary and Edmonton.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
I was so done with Bonino when he was here. As a second line centre our lack of depth showed. As a third line centre on an otherwise stacked team he looks like a superman. But if all you want to compare is contracts...... Bonino's a solid distributor, far better at using his line mates than Sutter....

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Island Nucklehead singing Bonino's praises with Glee, like he's known all along. If he loves him so much then he must've loved the Kesler trade! Mr "I Told You So", Mr "Hindsight", Mr. "Afterthefact". I can only imagine IN littering these boards admitting his poor judgement in Bonino had he not been...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Bonino was a warrior against the Flames. Beast Mode. A great example in the Canuck room. He never phones it in, heart is always in it as like we saw against the Flames. I miss that big time

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Bonino displayed the same heart he is showing now in the playoffs as he did against the Flames last year, exactly. He wore the Canuck jersey with pride.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
How can one constantly moan about Sutters contract but never moaned once about the 4 million plus contracts bought out by the Aquaman - Booths and Ballards, thanks to Mike Gill-eyes bold manoeuvres

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
It's funny the people are saying Lucic is too old for a six year deal at 28. Brandon the Toothpick Sutter got a five year extension for 4.5 million on top of the year he had. He is built like a waif , is soft as butter and gets injured quite a bit ,but 90% of this board thought they was a wonderful...

Shook hands with Patterson Hood of the Drive By Truckers Friday Night at the Richmond Fontaine show in Portland lives in Portland now. The dude was standing to my right all night. He told me Richmond Fontaine are his Hero's. He has some nice things to say about the show and RF at his Facebook page. ...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
A lot of talk in the media about how Stevie Y is going manage his salary cap over the next little bit here. So many of his good players on cheap contracts set for big pay raises. He must be loving the Garrison contract right now. Ole Mikey Gillis, gotta love him. Great trade by Benning getting rid o...
