Re: L-GDT: Canucks @ Pens - Oct 21 4pm - SNP, ESPN+

He had a crap start to the NHL season last year behind a defence of Desharnais, Juulsen, Friedman and Soucy, but he worked on tracking the puck better and his shots from distance in Abbotsford and looked great in their championship run. He moves exceptionally well in close - that’s his strength. He s ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

Now that they are into it, the condensed schedule is really standing out. The Canucks have four more games and another back-to-back before the week is out, after just completing a really condensed three games. Bodies are going to be dropping like flies, and not just the Canucks. GMs are not going to ...

Re: L-GDT: Canucks @ Oilers Oct 11/25 @ 7 PM PST SN/CBC/CITYTV

The top line speed is too average - not a fan of Boeser with Petey. They should put Chytil with Boeser and Garland with Petey as the cores in the top two lines. Then experiment with a third on those top two lines. Keep rotating wingers until someone shows some chemistry, not at all confident DeBrusk ...

Re: GDT: Canucks @ Oilers Oct 11/25 @ 7 PM PST SN/CBC/CITYTV

Quinn - no points first game. Expecting at least two tonight. 6-3 Canucks. Want Hughes and a Makar to both play 82 games this season and see who wins the Norris. Whoever plays the most games has been winning it lately. Hope they both stay healthy. Dream series would have the Avs and Canucks meet in ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

I think Cootes has a better chance than most to stay past nine because no one expects him to be a big scorer. He can focus on defence, face offs and skate faster than most. If he plays this season as a slightly more skilled Blueger this season, the Canucks should be overjoyed. He already looks way ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26

No one put on waivers today by the Canucks. I believe someone said players had to be placed on waivers today if they were to be off the roster to meet tomorrow’s roster number. So it looks like Bains, Karlsson, Joseph will be on the roster. It’ll be the non-waiver players being juggled. That seem log ...

Re: Canucks Pre-Season Games (Semi-GDT thing)

D-Petey, Willander, Sasson and anyone else that doesn’t need to clear waivers should be chosen from and sent to Abby to get down to their 23. Keep their depth over icing the best players on day one. Mancini has outplayed D-Petey and Willander so give him his props even though in the long term I t ...

Re: 2025-26 Prediction Thread

The reason the Canucks will be good this season is they can kill penalties. Their defence isn’t the crap it was at the start of last season. That will be the difference this year, and why they’re a lock to win the Pacific - Book it!
