GDT: R2/G6 Sep 3 Vancouver - Vegas 6:45 Snet - Take it to game 7!

Post by Per »

OK, one down, two to go.

I'm amazed at the heart these guys have.
Game 5 was amazing. Everything was against them, the refs even waved off a perfectly good goal, but they refused to lose. They found a way to win. It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog that matters.

Demko. Boeser. Pettersson. Hughes. Horvat... Hell, the whole goddamn team. I love them.

But they still can't rest. They need to win two more games to get through these dark knights and face a brand new day in the conference final.

But I know they can do it. I have faith in them.

Tonight, once more, it's do or die.

Al Pacino has a few choce words he would like to say:

CANUCKS’ PROJECTED LINES

Forwards
J.T. Miller — Elias Pettersson — Brock Boeser
Tanner Pearson — Bo Horvat — Tyler Toffoli
Antoine Roussel — Adam Gaudette — Brandon Sutter
Tyler Motte — Jay Beagle — Jake Virtanen

Defence
Alex Edler — Troy Stecher
Quinn Hughes — Chris Tanev
Oscar Fantenberg — Tyler Myers

Goalies: Thatcher Demko, Louis Domingue

KNIGHTS’ PROJECTED LINES

Forwards
Max Pacioretty — William Karlsson — Mark Stone
Jonathan Marchessault — Paul Stastny — Reilly Smith
Nick Cousins — Nicolas Roy — Alex Tuch
William Carrier — Chandler Stephenson — Ryan Reaves

Defence
Brayden McNabb — Nate Schmidt
Alec Martinez — Shea Theodore
Nick Holden — Zach Whitecloud

Goalies: Robin Lehner, Marc-Andre Fleury

INJURIES
Canucks: Jacob Markstrom (groin, day-to-day), Micheal Ferland (concussion symptoms), Josh Leivo (fractured kneecap)
Golden Knights: No players on injured reserve :?

SPECIAL TEAMS

POWER PLAY
Canucks: 7th (23%)
Golden Knights: 8th (22.2%)

PENALTY KILL
Canucks: 16th (79%)
Golden Knights: 6th (85.4%)

I'm pumped. I know we can do this!
4-2 Canucks. (Well, if the refs decide to count the empty netter, that is...)

Let's rock'n'roll! :rockin:

Oh man this one is MASSIVE. I woke up all stoked and as the day goes on it has only gotten better.

We will need to circle the wagons once again and continue to counter punch these fuckers. Vegas has to start showing some fatigue much like the Blews did after throwing everything into trying to injure the canucks.

I predict the canucks have the extra energy as the game wears on and once again take it over in the 3rd. Thatch needs to build the wall and the D needs to keep clearing the traffic.

It'll be another low scorer i think....2-0 canucks
Witchcraft... Oh, but it IS. A dark and terrible magic...

If they come out with jump, playing their game, it should be a good one.

I expect Vegas to come out and come out hard, keeping their foot on our collective necks, until it's over. They will try to suffocate us by hemming us into our zone until we can't breath, panic, make mistakes and eventually succumb. But if we play our game we will live to breath again!!

Just hope they DON'T get a SHUTOUT.........

Oh boy - this is gonna be good! :D

The boys will come out flying with some confidence building, and nothing to lose. Vegas will want to wrap this up and not risk it all in a game 7.

It's a shame that we've got the back-2-backs happenind for 2 important games, but I think it favours us.

We got this.

GO CANUCKS GO!

I really look forward to seeing what we have in Demko. I certainly don't want him to be the losing goalie but more importantly if he can back stop us to a comeback then it makes goalie decisions moving forward very interesting.
