GDT: Canucks at AVs - Snet-Van - 6PM

Post by Cornuck »

Tonight we take our awesome road game to a new town. What used to be a rival, is now just a bunch of talented kids that overachieved last year. This year? Who knows. The Avs are missing Anderson and Foote.

The Canucks will be led by Raffi Torres (5 goals in his last 3 games) <yes, I just had to write that!>
This will be the 3rd game in 4 nights, so look for Schneider between the pipes.

This game is being streamed online at Canucks.com and Yahoo Sports

If the Canucks get the chances on the PP, the Avs have the 3rd worst PK in the league. Time to expose it.

Play smart and dictate the pace of the game is what they need to do. Maybe Sammy and Burr can hit the score sheets tonight :)

4-2 Canucks

4-3 Canucks. Would love to see Sammy and Hank have a big night due to having them in my pool.

Colorado has won 2 straight, can Budaj really win 3 in a row? Hells no. Canucks all the way!

GO CANUCKS GO!!

Decent 1st period with a rocket of a goal from Kesler.

I'm watching the Avs feed, and must say that these are the worst 'announcers' I've heard in a while.

Ever watch a Bruins game on NESN? May be the worst ever.

OK - 2nd period: These two guys start giggling and laughing for almost 2 full minutes - because one of them talked about getting a shot though 12 players from the point. It's really bad - they don't call the current play, but stay about 15-20 seconds behind.

But hey - 2-0 Canucks heading into the 3rd.

I was lucky enough to be sent to Denver for work when Canucks were in town.

Good game by the Canucks. I was impressed with Hansen, he was good defensively and made a few very good moves with the puck. Didn't think he was capable of doing that. Gets my vote for player of the game, together with Schneider. He made some very good saves.

Too bad for him with the goal at the end... so very close to first shutout. Would have been fun to see that live.

Finally... the arena... I don't think it was even half full and I've never been in such a quiet arena. I had seats on second level but could still here players yell to each other for the puck. Crazy. I've been to supposedly lesser hockey markets like Nashville, Tampa and Anaheim but any of them beat Denver with a mile. I was extremely disappointed with everything but the result.

Well... the arena was nice at least, and the Colorado fans who showed up were nice people, I can give them that.
