GDT: Canucks @ Edmonton - 6pm - Snet
A back to back takes us to Edmonton today to see what all the fuss is about with their new kids.
We're on a 3 game winning streak and haven't lost in regulation in six games. This can only mean one thing. We're going to suck against the weak team while we're looking for a our first road win.
Will we see Cory in net, or will Luongo get the start after the shutout? This game should see the return of Alex Burrows.

According to the Vancouver Sun this morning, AV said he is starting Luongo.Cornuck wrote: Will we see Cory in net, or will Luongo get the start after the shutout? This game should see the return of Alex Burrows.
Maybe we will see Cory against Col or Det (assuming AV doesn't change his mind about starting Lou tonight).

We'll see Cory most likely against Col because Luongo will probably get the prime time Saturday night game against the Wings.dr.dork wrote:According to the Vancouver Sun this morning, AV said he is starting Luongo.Cornuck wrote: Will we see Cory in net, or will Luongo get the start after the shutout? I heard Lu as well. After a 5/6 day break I am sure Lu can handle a back to back.

I love every move Jim Benning makes

Not gonna complain about the W, but thank god for Torres and good bounces.
Does that put us into first in the NW ? Tie with Minn who beat San Jose, but they have more losses. Colorabi and Calgary didn't play. Puts us at 6-3-2 which isn't so bad given our start.

Well that was a lot better! After last nights game this is a complete 180. Best game so far.. speed picked up wanting that first road W.

This is why the REGULAR season is going to be pretty dull. This team is easily good enough to almost coast to the division crown because there's no one to measure up. We might stumble here and there, but over the course of a long season, barring injury ravishment, we're golden. Let's hope they get their game in a playoff mode by game 70 though.Puts us at 6-3-2 which isn't so bad given our start.

Definitely a few defensive gaffs here and there, but considering it was a back-to-back against a well-rested and speedy Edmonton team, I'm not too worried about it. Torres looked great, Burrows didn't seem too rusty, Bieksa had his best game of the season. Quite a few positives to take away from that one, even if it was close.nucklehead_88 wrote:Robert wrote:Well that was a lot better! After last nights game this is a complete 180.
