GDT: Canucks @ Ducks - 7pm - Snet

Post by Cornuck »

Things can only get better right? We only need one more point...

No word on Daniel or Burrows yet - Samuelsson may be back on the weekend. At least we have the power duo of Wellwood and Demitra.

"Burrows is day-to-day for now as there was swelling in his throat. "It's tougher to swallow right now, but the pain is gone," Burrows said. "I kind of wanted to go back out there with the boys, but I decided to ice it, let the swelling go down a bit."

Maybe it's the Irish O'Brien curse - maybe it's a late season let down OR maybe we're just missing too many key players.

I'll take "maybe our goalie is playing like shit and our defense is shit" as the reason, in addition to having our main strength (offense) being sapped by injury.

Raycroft tonight? Probably a win then. Not that I'm implying any kind of pattern.

Nice to see a good shot to go with those wheels on Grabner. He's got some skills, no question.

Great to see them finally start to go in for him. He could've had 4 or 5 tonight.
Nice to see Hordi take on Parros again and do quite well.
Overall a pretty good game. Raycroft looks confident, something perhaps lacking some in Luongo lately.

I missed the game - but came home to see - Grabner with the hat trick! Great!

If we can find another weapon and get the other 'nucks in a row - things could happen.

Of course, on this happy night I will not mention goaltending.

good to see grabner get the hatty! talk about breaking the goaless drought! i still dont get these guys....one game they look like they couldnt compete with the leaves...then next night they play an exciting game......thrilled to find out that luongo is 1-4 in his last five...i think its getting past the point of "he had an off night"
"HE WILL PLAY, YOU KNOW HE'LL PLAY, HE'LL PLAY ON CRUTCHES...."
