GDT: Canucks/Moose @ Anaheim 7PM SNET-P(HD)

Post by nucklehead_88 »

Ducks aren't off to a great start but are well rested and coming off an embarassing loss to the leaves.
Canucks coming off a shootout win just down the road in L.A. last night, seeing the return of Sami Salo(for now) and Rick Rypien, but Alex Boulduc went down in the process. Andrew Raycroft expected to start again.

Conspiracy? The leaves must be jealous - Raycroft can not be found in the NHL stats! :D
Maybe his GAA of 1.03 is just too much for eastern fans to bear!

This will be a tough back to back - maybe 8 dmen is the answer.

GO CANUCKS GO!!

Raycroft is being paided more by the leaves then the Canucks.

That is just gold.

Makes sense. Physical game against the Ducks.. dress another Dman ( SOB ), add a defensive center. Too bad Shirkov hasn't adjusted to the NHL yet though.. looked great in pre season. Ducks are the most penalized team in the NHL right now so I expect a lot of rough play and maybe its time for Hordi , Rypien and SOB to do there thing? No guesses on the score from me today ..

Fight Canucks ... fight :)

Yes it should be a tough, physical game. The Ducks will be stung by the loss to TO last time out. I expect Hordi will be back in and I hope he trys to show that we need him in there with some physical play.
Should be a good one.

Well it doesn't look to physical yet and the clucks don't even look that interested. We may take another. (fingerscrossed)

The Ducks look alot more interested early in the 2nd period. Canucks look like they suddenly feel tired.
Robert, you may have jinxed them.

And that's why I hate people making predictions during the game. That's how bar fights get started.

Unless a miracle happens and I miss a great come back, I'm going to pre-type my thoughts as I'm going to go out and drink myself to a coma.

Ducks were due for a home win, 5 straight home losses. Canucks going 1-1 on a back to back with out Luongo, Daniel, Demitra, and more. Three of their top 4 paid players. Gee, I sure would take it if you asked me before the Kings game.

Heck, if you told me we were going to be 7-7 after a 0-3 start, with a giant pile of injuries, I'd take it and run.

No Biggie IMO. Time to spend my whole paycheck on alcohol!

Is there any excuse for 6 unanswered goals?

Halloween, karma, bad coach decision on starting your back up goalie on a back to back night, you touched yourself at night?

Not an impressive performance.
The Canucks had all the finish of a 15 year old World Of Warcraft Champion in a brothel.
The leaves: Longest running sitcom since Seinfeld.

Then there's definitely no excuse for 7.

A bit of an understatement, Ridley.
The defence played a bad game tonight as a whole.
I don't understand why they don't at least kick some Duck ass when the game gets past the point of return.
At 5-2 or 6-2 SOB or Rypper should have done something.
Do you think they are warned by the coaches not to do anything to stir it up?
A few years ago there would have been a war if the score got out of hand.
