GDT: BJs vs Canucks
The game's at 5:00 PM local time, I believe on SportsNet. Check your listings. I found out this morning I'm going since the neighbour has a spare ticket. Maybe I'll see the Canucks complete a pass for the first time in 5 games. Report to come later after the game.

Right. Is Salo back ?Cornuck wrote:The skid has to end sometime........ right?
The BJs are going to come out strong because that is how other teams have figured how to make it an easy night, namely: play for 10 minutes and then the game is over.
First I want to see this Canuck team getting back to hitting, fighting and the grit we saw earlier in the year. Second I want to see a lot of Bernier, Pyatt, Sundin and Hordichuk (among others) standing RIGHT in front of Mason.
Third, kudos for Davisson for taking on Carcillo in the last game. Let's see more of that.

Re: GDT: BJs vs Canucks
Just fucking win. Seven losses in a row on home ice would be totally unacceptable. Mason is good, but not unbeatable. Demitra needs a big game, the Sedins need to dominate, the defence needs to remember how to make breakout passes and Sundin has to draw checkers. Columbus has problems scoring, but is great at keeping the puck out. Two or three goals will probably be enough, but a sixty minute effort will be necessary.
Do we get it done? I dunno.

A franchise record that they'll have to hear about for a full week during the all-star break. Last chance to dance tonight.Cornuck wrote:And a franchise recordlevelheaded wrote:Just fucking win. Seven losses in a row on home ice would be totally unacceptable.

Too bad I can't watch them on TV from home. That said, I noticed that Kesler and Umberger fought. They really must have a hate on for each other. So much for the lead, but tied is better than behind. Let's see what happens in the next 40.

Re: GDT: BJs vs Canucks
Our powerplay remains crap but at least Sundin showed some flashes of what he can do. Nice hands, but it certainly won't be enough tonight.

Jesus Christ, falling apart with the lead is a little unusual for this team. I guess they're trying to suck in EVERY possible way.

Re: GDT: BJs vs Canucks
I thought the Canucks were looking *better* for the first 40 minutes. Still plenty of sloppy play in their own end, but at least they were battling harder and looking more alert. But this third period (now 5-5) looks like the dog's breakfast. Hardly even resembles NHL hockey.

geez - 4 unanswered goals in - what - 5 minutes? I wasn't going to listen to the game, but they've dragged me back in.
