After a few days off, we'll be able to see how the team responds after what most call their worst performance of the year with the Sharks. Still we've won 5 of the last 8 and continue to build on that instead of thinking about San Jose. Both the Oil and the Canucks are 5-4-1 in their last 10 - and the Oilers are actually above .500 on the road (10-9-0)
A win tonight puts us back in first (with 2 games in hand) with the Flames not playing until tomorrow. Let's hope that we hammer the Oil tonight in a blowout. Pretty sure we'll be seeing Sanford tonight, and the team should play well in front of him to avoid being embarrassed 2 games in a row.

Did Edmonton actually make it flying into YVR with all the weather problems?

An otherwise wonderful night was ruined by a loss to the Oilers.

If you consider the last win on a boxing day was against the California Golden Seals then they were damn close at least to tie this.
Tonight they play against a struggling Ottawa team that lost last night in Calgary. A win is much needed.
