The Canucks continue their 'brutal stretch' with a visit to Minny. Sanford gets the start.
We're 2 points up on the Wild with 3 games in hand - so yeah, this is yet another important game. Hopefully the boys weren't worked too hard in the romp over the Rangers and will have some gas in the tank for tonight.

they certainly phoned in the last half of the game.Cornuck wrote: Hopefully the boys weren't worked too hard in the romp over the Rangers and will have some gas in the tank for tonight.
Sanford knows he only gets so many chances to shine. The turnovers and bad penalties (SO'B) have given AV enough fodder to get these guys attention for a good effort.

Busy thread tonight despite it's importance.
Good win, probably didn't deserve it, but we battled and chipped away and got the goals we needed. This team is really starting to remind me of the 06/07 version with more offence.
Anyone really impressed with Demitra right now? I'll admit I thought it a bizarre idea to play him with the twins, but they really have chemistry.
I have a genuinely good feeling this year.

A genuine team win... No goats this game ( yeah Raymond is snake bit but worked hard )... No dumb penalties ( O'brien's was a good penalty ).. All 4 lines performed well.. Demitra and Bernier both looked good tonight.. Kesler line did a great job of checking and penning Wild in ..
20 games in and the Canucks looking really good - and still got 10 Mill to buy players.. Who'd of thunk it

Good gut-check type of win. Not pretty, but then they don't have to be.

Everything, meaning fatigue, Sanford in net, the Wild at home, the Wild playing well (despite injuries) said we would lose this game. Any win is good, but I would have never bet on us pulling this one out.
This is an "even up" after losing to the lowly Islanders.

Under the given circumstances really a huge win, back to back game and now heading back to the east for saturday.
Capspace is good but i read somewhere that maybe next years cap will be lowered again, so it could be wise not to waste it for new players with heavy contracts lasting longer than this season. Especially when you have some extensions in mind like Ohlund, Sedins...

Exactly what I thought, this is a tough place to play and the boys did it.Sid Dithers wrote:Good gut-check type of win. Not pretty, but then they don't have to be.
