Yeah, that is straight up classless. I liked Gretz as a player, but he's not much of a coach, that's for sure.WpgJets wrote:Yeah, I can't believe Turris isn't playing either. Bonehead move.

Shutout win #4 - great to see! (or hear)

If I recall correctly, that puts Luongo as #2 for shutouts on the Canucks all-time.

According to the CC History Database, you are correct. He's second to Capt Kirk's 20. Season record is 7 (Cloutier).

If not for his name, Gretz would of been fired along time ago for his average coaching abilities.WpgJets wrote:Yeah, I can't believe Turris isn't playing either. Bonehead move.

Or do you mean if not for his "ownership". Being your own boss has a way of helping your employment status. Not always but sometimes...Jovorock wrote:If not for his name, Gretz would of been fired along time ago for his average coaching abilities.WpgJets wrote:

Well I didn't get the 5-1 thrashing I was hoping for, but a win is a win.
Gretz = horrible coach.

And I don't get why some people think just because a player is good that the masses should be fans.levelheaded wrote: I don't get the dislike of popular players.

I don't claim that to be true, but Gretzky did nothing to be unlikeable as a player. In fact the only thing people say that they dislike about him is that he's overrated, and that's not his fault. It's not like he was an egotistical show off, he was a hardworking player with more talent than most of the league combined right now.Linden Is God wrote:And I don't get why some people think just because a player is good that the masses should be fans.levelheaded wrote: I don't get the dislike of popular players.
