Unless the Preds show up like the Wings, too

Hordi is going to need to keep Tootoo in line early on. I've been pretty disappointed in Hordi so far, then again how much can he be expected to do in 3-4 minutes per night. If AV lets him go, he can be a pretty effective banger and crasher.

I'm definitely staying up for this one. It'll be interesting to see if Hordi will keep his former mates in line.

I call a 3-1 win.

O'Brien looks like he's on tonight! A few pretty skilled plays early. Hopefully A.V picks up on this!

This is a fun game to watch. Both teams are going for it and there are lots of scoring chances as a result. Pretty physical too, O'Brien had a good set too and gave the dude he was scraping a pat at the end of the tilt. Questionable calls by the refs as per usual.

Watched the election coverage instead of the game.

Wellwood eh? Leads the team in goals now. Nice to see his turn around. Certainly got a lot of unnecessary crap. Another shutout for Louie. Too bad he's still way too inconsistent.

Just followed the score, but a 4-0 victory that we outshot the opposition in must have been a good statement game for us.

Hopefully, Wellwood has found his place in life and is ready to keep rolling for the rest of the season. Luongo has his 3rd shutout, but still a high GAA.

A day of rest, then we host Phoenix - let's keep this going!

Louie is back in the zone. It is November, and he is back. Ignore that Anaheim game, and he has been his normal self for the past 5-6 games.

Louie had a good game tonight, and if you watched him tonight and against Detroit, (and over the past 6 games) you might have moderated that "way too inconsistent" statement. He is the least of our worries.

I thought it was a pretty close game, and Nashville had a lot of chances in the first couple periods, and if they would have went in it could have been a different game. Plus the 'nucks had some luck on their side tonight. When it was 1-0 I was thinking it looked lot like the Detroit game except the 'nucks PK and PP was better.

The 'nucks have something like 7 wins, 3 were in overtime or shootout, and 3 were shutouts ! The only non-shutout/shootout win is the 6-3 Edmonton win. In out losses, some are close, but we have also been creamed.
Weird. The team is inconsistent, but it is certainly partly due to an open style with a team that is likely more suited to a "closed" style. When we get behind and try to open it up, we either come back (rare) or get smoked. The overtime record is largely luck.

Louie has been better the last few games, but you can't ignore the Anaheim game. Other than in the shootout he looked shaky. Even the Detroit game was a bit suspect (huge save on the 5 on 3 before giving up a weak goal to Zetterberg by not hugging the post).

The Canucks are currently tied for first in the league in goals with San Jose.

Take from that what you want.
