It would be interesting to go back and look at the team's record in PPV games. they seem to be absolutely atricious in the vast majority of them

From an AP article on the game:

According to Canucks coach Alain Vigneault, Demitra has a "rib contusion," Salo a "tweaked groin," and Hordichuk a "tweaked knee."
Another team official said Hordichuk's injury was a mild MCL sprain.
Canucks C Rick Rypien sat out because of an undisclosed injury.

Is it me or is this year starting to look a lot like last year??? Hordi's knee sprain may only take him out a week or two, Rypien being injured - matter of time I guess - but Salo's groin worries me. Maybe Pettinger will be back before he knows it. Maybe this is why Baumgartner signed here...

Good for Salo. He beat the over/under by making it until game #6.

Rypien was sent home with a viral infection.
Peter: Just don't forget our deal, Lois. I sit through this and later tonight I get anal. You hear me? No matter how neat I want the house you have to clean it.

Just some thoughts on last night's game.

Being there in living colour was a great experience to say the least. It's nice to see the fans excited at the United Center about hockey once again. It was also very cool how the fans that were sitting next to us were very cordial and quite knowledgeable hockey fans, much like those in St. Louis with my experience there last season.

The Positives

*The Canucks shot the puck more (out shooting the Hawks I believe 30-26?
*Puck movement was pretty decent throughout the line up
* Very nice passing on the Demitra goal .Nice to see Pavol contribute to the cause.
* Bernier doing his job on Hank's goal. Creating some commotion in front of Huet and he missed the shot.
* A much better game than last against the Sabres, although the score might not indicate it, they did play better.
* Boy are some of those kids fast! WOW @ the improvement on speed for the team.

The Negatives
*Just getting beat off the puck too much on neutral ice.
*Too many stupid penalties. Although the Hawks were in the box a bit the Canucks are in there far too much. Discipline should be addressed. Hawks were 2-5 on the man advantage.
*O'Brien's position was horrid and all goals couldn't be blamed on Luongo. O'Brien needs to not screen Lu and let him have a good look at the puck

What a great experience over all at the UC, I am going to enjoy watching Hawks hockey this season. I didn't feel that dejected in the game, I felt the team played better and will find their groove. We're only 6 games into the season folks, no need for the panic button. Let's wait another 14 games... :)
