A great period for the'Nucks thanks to some good bounces and hard work at both ends of the ice. It was nice to see the team working hard and all four lines clicking.

Hopefully they can keep it up in the second period and turn around some of their power play woes. 1/4 is good, but not great, especially given all the opportunities they had.

The Canucks are so lucky that last giveaway turned into a shot from Wayne Primeau and not Jerome Iginla. I don't know what happened, but the Canucks weren't even three goals up before they took the foot off the gas.

Maybe now it's time for Cowan to scrap Goddard or someone else. Get some emotion back in the Canucks game.

The second period has been a complete flip from the first. It's been all Calgary and the Canucks can't seem to get anything going. The Canucks need a good final seven minutes so they can go into the third period with some momentum and stop the surge from Calgary.

Jeez one of these days I would love for a Vancouver/Calgary game that doesn't follow the exact same pattern as all the rest.

Yet another period that Roberto Luongo saves for the Canucks. What in the world will the team do when Lui goes to Florida and the saviour of the team is gone. Any time the Canucks grab a lead, they rely on Luongo way too much to bail them out and they need to keep pounding away on the offensive.

Very bad timing for the Canucks to take a too many men on the ice penalty. It's the kind of penalty that can kill a team and often does. In a perfect world, the Canucks kill the PP and spring speedy Ryan Shannon on a breakaway coming out of the box.

Brutal back to back 5 on 3s.... and that Phaneuf shot was a freakin rocket, even in slo-mo it looked fast. 7 min to tie it up... weren't we just talking about playing for the 2 points, not a tie? :|
