GDT: Canucks vs. The Queens

Post by Linden Is God »

Seeing as I'm off work this week (w00t w00t for March break), my goal this week (aside from Saturday as I will be in Montreal watching the Habs and Isles play) is to beat Matti to the GDT's.

The curse that I accidentally set against the Canucks for the past 3 weeks can be lifted as I have been eliminated from my hockey pool.

The Canucks visit La La Land to face a bottom feeding Kings team. The Canucks have struggled against the Kings this year going 0-3. Every game from here on end is huge as the boys are fighting for a playoff spot. Does Marc Crawford start Cloutier or does he go with Ernsberg who looked good against the Habs on Saturday.

I say 3-1 Canucks. Burrows, Salo and Ritchie with goals. Dustin Brown for the Kings.

...this cheap shot is too easy but I can hear it coming a mile away...

"If Crawford starts Cloutier, I'll predict a 5-1, or 7-1 victory for the boys"

If I don't say it someone else will!

just jokes tho, after it all I've still got a soft-spot for Clouts...

I'd like to see what Cloutier can do against (some of) his former teammates. I'm just hoping the the team is riding the same wave of positive energy that we are after 2 good wins.

Let's make the games in hand mean something with a win over the last place team in the league!

GO CANUCKS!

Well, hopefully he will still have his soft spots for us. 5-hole always seemed to be a good one. ;-) No predictions other than Raymond with a goal.

In reference to the Queens comment, I'm going to pissed off/hate mood against all team from here on end. Every point counts and I no longer have any soft spots for teams in the West.

Can't you just see the scouting report notes on the Nucks' dry erase board in their lockerroom?
1) Shoot from center ice
2) Aim five hole
3) Shoot high glove
4) Shoot low stick side
5) Shoot low glove
6) Shoot high blocker
7) In the last five minutes of any period, shoot from every conceivable angle
8) Wrap around at every opportunity
9) On shoot-ins, make sure he gets to handle the puck
10) When you are behind him and he's handling the puck, yell "Cloutch!" and he should hand you the puck

Morrison a maybe for tonight? Anybody locally know if he's in for sure or no? TSN is never all that speedy on these kinds of things...

Morrison, surprisingly close to a return, was leaning toward playing Monday but said he is struggling to overcome some mental obstacles. His wrist isn't going to get much better this season but he doesn't know how it will respond in games.

He will make the call after the pre-game skate.

The Score is reporting that BMo is questionable for tonight.

Well an unhealthy Morrison has proven to be a non-factor in the past, but he did have a great start this year, so it can't hurt.
