The Canucks HAVE to break out of the funk now.
The Canucks HAVE to come out strong.
The CAPTAIN HAS to have his best game in his 1000th.
The FRANCHISE has to Step up against the league powerhouse.
The FANS have to remain patient..... but we are slipping

Can't say I have all that much faith - the gun-power of Detroit is pretty formidable. Although I do think that Luongo is going to bounce back after a few mediocre games. As well,I think Raymond and Pyatt are both going to have strong games. Man, if only Pyatt could breakout and reach his potential. But in all likelihood, we already used up our luck on breakout of power forwards with Bertuzzi.
Invincibility lies in oneself.
Vincibility lies in the enemy.

The Canucks could be playing without their entire top 4 D tonight (or if either Salo or Mitchell are in, they're playing hurt), and the Wings have lost 3 straight.

Vancouver is not pulling this one out, I am afraid.

Apparently Burrows will be playing defense tonight if Mitchell and Salo won't be in the lineup. How many seasons can we go with so many serious injuries on defence? This is getting borderline ridiculous.

I wouldn't bet big money on our boys tonight but it's possible they will consider it a throw away game, play balls to the wall hockey and dictate the tempo.

They're a pretty good group when they're not nervous.

So I'm staying optomistic....but keeping my wallet safe.

Hope it's at least an entertaining game.

if we don't have enough dmen, why the hell won't they call up bourdon? he's improving, and i liked him last call up. burrows on d? gimme a break.

i'm too overwhelmed with work to watch...here's hoping lui decides he's going to set it as his personal challenge to win w/o enough dmen, and just takes over

Dear Alain Vigneault,

I know you love pluggers, but please take Byron Ritchie off the powerplay. We are scoring IN SPITE of him being there.

Sincerely,

Levelheaded.

Wow - this is most pessimistic GDT I've read in a while

We've got Luongo, so anything can happen - including a win.

I'm going to go against the flow and call a 2-1 Canucks win.

Outshot 21-5 in the second period..... this is getting embarrassing.

Wow... Henrik scores on our 1st period of pressure in the whole game... did we ever need that.

Well we totally didn't deserve it but whatever I'll take it. However, it won't matter for squat if we don't score before the period is over or we have to put our complete inability to come back after trailing after 2 ability up against the best team in the league.

Cooke has had a strong game though.

Wow... Rafalski hits the crossbar on a wide open net, then Cooke puts in a tip off of a Naslund shot.

The Canucks are the luckiest team on the planet right now.

Luongo seems to be picking up his game a little bit as this game is going on. He has made some big saves. He has been swallowing up the rebounds a little more. Just a blip on the radar, I guess.

Well not like they deserved it anyways, but a point is a point. Didn't see the game but I would assume Luongo stood on his head. 49 shots is a lot of rubber to face.
