I always look forward to playing the Flames.
This has been a good week.

They shouldn't be too tired.
It looked like they were hoarding their energy last night...saving themselves for tonight's game.

At least I hope that's what they were doing.
We got the win over the Ducks :D ...but it wasn't because we were winning the races for the puck.

Ugghhh.... Now what the best way to end the year. Kiprusoff was incredible on that 3rd period powerplay, we should've tied it two or three times. That really was a game that could've gone either way.

At least we didn't roll over and die in the third like we usually do.

We didn't play great. :| two games in a row now...
...and we can't beat the Flames (or any other good team) unless we play great.
Beating the Ducks without jump was a gift.

There were a few spectacular personal efforts but we also made far too many blatant turnovers in leu of good hard clears and passes.

Other than a few shifts....especially the one power play...We didn't really turn it up until the end... and Kipper was pretty determined not to let it slip away.
Giving the devil its due....the Flames played a pretty solid road game at home.

Ah well....it was still a great 2007. :mex:
Hopefully the boys will all make resolutions to regain their jump, focus, and determination in 2008. :D

I find it interesting to see that the Flames had to play a conservative, Canucks' style game to finally beat them. I don't think they can sustain that over another three games. So far the difference in the NW standings has been - what, three points between first and fourth? Those first four games are pretty huge right about now.

Anyway, I'm sure the boys over at CalPuck are having a nice little man-gina circle jerk over this one...
