GDT:12/23/07 Nucks/Avs 5PM Snet

Post by levelheaded »

Hooray for less than 24 hours rest. Score another point for the NHL's schedule makers.

I can't envision us winning this one, which is depressing because if the Avs do get the two points tonight they'll pass us for first in the NW going into the Christmas break. Why is this division so freaking close?

Anyways, I say 3-1 Avalanche. Liles, Hannan and Wolski will score for them, Cooke will reply for us.

Brutal tough month and the Canucks are still in first place. Now that the schedule is geting some what normal hopefully the boys can get some points in the distance of the Avs and Wild.

With all the injuries and missing key personal, I think this was a good month!

Agreed. The combination of schedule and injuries had disaster written all over it. And not just any disaster. No, sir. We're talking Earthquake, Towering Inferno, Poesidon Adventure 70 mm epic 1970s grade A disaster. Yet the Club has managed to persevere pretty damned well - although their legs were clearly gone by the Third Period last night.

Once this team gets healthy and gets some more days off between games - look out!

3 out of 4 following the road trip reflects a good bounce back effort. The two quick goals certainly turned the game at a crucial point & the Nux looked a little tired at that point.

Full marks to the Avs without their two leaders on offense.

Now for some turkey and on to the second half of the schedule in the march to March.

What the hell was Miller doing on that Brunette goal?

Anytime you give the Avs ice to skate around they will burn you. They're fast and talented.
