LIVE FROM THE GAME: DUCK HUNTING
Canucks have turned the tables on the Ducks, outshooting them 12-3 in the second and scoring on three of those shots. Perhaps the Canucks' most dominant, foreceful period of the season.
Duck Chris Pronger made history, earning the rage of Vancouver fans who have justifiably booed him for perhaps the first time after his unpenalized cross-check of Ryan Kesler after the game's second goal. Apparently referee Dan O'Halloran feared a citation from the Vancouver fire marshal for too many men in the penalty box (Sean O'Donnell and Ryan Getzlaf were already there).
Pronger has previously been booed by Canucks' fans who find themselves in a strange allegiance with Edmontonians jilted when Pronger demanded a trade after the 2005 Stanley Cup loss.

17 shots on net - Canucks best 2nd period of the season.
Good point Antro - this time the Canucks made the undiciplined Ducks pay on the PP.
Loved seeing Pronger in front twisting in the wind on Cookes goal.
I have Bert as a minus 2 tonight... welcome back.

A- Agreed
B- Pronger gets a lot of rope...notice O'donell goes to the box for a lsser shot
C- Linden is a full step behind the Ducks...they are extremely mobile compared to most...not that I'm sticking up for Linden..he is slow...

i'm hearing the FSN Ducks feed, and the announcers are upset with the officiating. but, to my eyes, no one runs interference as much as the ducks...the little tugs and skating across guys just never stops...add to this the constant shots (odonnell got pronger's penalty after 4 cross-checks to sedin after a whistle)...this equals lots of penatlies.
glad that the canucks made them pay a bit, thanks to lui's amazing first period

Great first 2 periods. I think Bert let up on Nazzy's goal. If it was anyone else, I would say he wasn't playing his friend hard, but since it's Bert and he wouldn't know what backchecking means, it was just typical Bert.
Man I wish the Canucks would just step on their throats and go for the jugular. If they weren't in the third, I would be concerned. But seeing as it's 3-0 in the third, I'm not as worried with the boys not capitalizing on the PP.
