On radio the "good guys" said it was a hammer of a shot set up by Ritchie.

For sure a good goal but we'll see if it was a fluke by Bourdon. 8-)

Nice call, Matty! ;)

Was that really the same team that couldn't score on Deadmonton playing tonight???

We sure could have used one of those goals the other night.

Jeepers.

Six different guys score.
Kesler completely throws Gaborik off his game with his speed and grit.
Edler makes the classic rookie mistake . . . and wallops Boogard.
Ohlund goes all Bobby Clarke on Koivu.
Bourdon unleashes a laser that the Death Star would be proud of.
And the game ends with a puck aimed at Weaver's head.

A pretty dominant effort all around.

Next week's game against the Wild is gonna be a 60s style love-fest folks. I expect Boogard to come wearing a tie-dyed shirt and have flowers painted on his jeans.
Modo vincis, modo vinceris.

That Bourdon shot was a ROCKET. Easily a hundred mile per hour slapper. I think it's time for him to be on the powerplay full time. He's starting to look like the 18 year old version we loved so very much.

Imagine Salo and Him manning the point on the powerplay :D

FYI to those who shelled the bucks for HD TV's and Shaw boxes...the availability of all HD Canucks games on Sportnet is about to change.

Here's a tip...tune in channel 298 on Sunday

WOW !!!

Now that was a very pleasant change of pace. :D
That's five games in a row that the boys have played with heart.
Great to see the effort make the pucks bounce their way for a change.

...and a small, insincere thanks go out to the Oilers.

All the boys played well but I must admit that Ohlund is beginning to win me over again.
He's been solid since Salo & Bieksa went down, held his own against Phaneuff and. though I'd have prefered him to drop the gloves, I still agree with his slash tonight.

It's one thing to suck it up and take the man advantage when the game is on the line but, when it's out of reach and they're just trying to cheap shot you late in the game, a physical response sends a more forceful message.

It'll be interesting to see their next meeting.
Will tonight carry over or will both coaches have their players on very short leashes?

...and what did they force-feed Boogaard? He's HUGE !!!.
I thought he was beating up on Burrows until the closeup showed Willie getting his face washed.
Smart call by the ref to get him out of the game. He could be some kind of nasty.

Now I'm feeling really odd.
That's two games in a row that I've approved of the reffing.
Is Bettman on holidays?

Great to see the team hitting its stride as we enter the thick of the schedule.

 It doesn't get much better than this... all 4 lines scoring.. Oldest Canuck and newest Canuck ( Linden and Luc ) both scoring .Kessler checking Gab until he was completely off his game . D playing tough and offensive too .. Mattola hasn't been this wrong in years ( yeah he liked Cloutier - but all goaltenders are flakey at best )... Maybe we can shave a Sasquatch and put him out against the Boogie man.... ?
