Here's my players prayer (and I am not religious at all).
Its really written for the Forwards.
We bow our heads in concentration
We know the mood of "Canuck Nation"
We know that they expect a win
We know the 3rd's not when to begin
To score and score and score some more!
To allow Lou to slam the door
The D will take the shots on shins
We all know the need to score for wins![/b]
or something like that...

I believe Toronto poached "Leaf nation" from the Red Sox.levelheaded wrote:This isn't a stab at you F15, but can everyone stop using the term 'Canuck Nation?' We poached it from the leaves, and I hear it every day out here in Toronto. Can we at least be a LITTLE BIT original?
I believe they also poached "Final Four" during the year they made it to the semi-finals.
And to use these poached terms in proper context
"Leaf nation may be a joke and predicated on no finals appearances and no success, but we did make it to the final four once or twice in the last 40 years"

I only used it because it rhymed with "concentration", sorry. This isn't a stab at you F15, but can everyone stop using the term 'Canuck Nation?' We poached it from the leaves, and I hear it every day out here in Toronto. Can we at least be a LITTLE BIT original?
I think the very first time it was used in a sports (team) context was in conjunction with "Raider Nation" (as in Oakland raiders), so who ripped it from who?
You HAVE to live in T.O.?
You poor, miserable earthling.
I wouldn't wish that on anybody
But I do agree with you, I'll never utter the phrase again...

so it could be the reverse too lol
We bow our heads in concentration
In imminent wait of another "Canuck Decimation"
We know that they expect a win
We know the 3rd's is probably where it may begin
To be scored and scored and scored upon some more!
To allow Lou to slam the core
The D will take the shots on shins
We all know the need to score for wins
ok Im REALLY pesmistic lately

I was planning on trying to get cable or sat to watch canuck games over in Edmonton, but don't think I am going to bother wasting the money to watch them lose. I am quite disappointed with the total enterprise right now. Almost hoping that they will continue to lose and force Nonis' hand.
Anyway, 4-3 loss Salo, Pyatt and Hansen with nucks goals.

Good god Miller is slow!
Ohlund looks slow - both of these guys have heavy miles on them.
Pull Luongo now! He never makes his great saves early...they seem to come in the back half of games. NOT GOOD ENOUGH at 7 mill per. Thats right I said it.
