GDT: 10/22/07 Canucks at Carolina

Post by mband »

Ten minutes into the game: We're the most penalized team in the league, and we're at it again as Carolina goes on its 3rd power play. We've been outshot 14-3, but Luongo is holding the fort down--- I'm not sure how much longer he can last. We're giving the puck away every time we touch it - which isn't very often. This is just terrible hockey.

Terrible start. Looks like another terrible period. Maybe getting it out of the way early is good. We've got 40 minutes of solid hockey coming up. I hope :?

We survived the first period, and started getting in some good shifts near the end. Let's hope that continues into the second period. Unfortunately, Pyatt's eye injury looks like it could be pretty nasty.

Outshot 22-8 when I logged in - what is wrong with the shots??

I'm working with a Canes fan, so I hope the boys pull out a Win tonight...

The third tapered off considerably, but that second period was VERY ENTERTAINING HOCKEY.

Kesler looks great right now, he has a stick-handling dimension to his game I haven't seen before.

The Canucks don't look good so far this season....another loss.
E1-E4 = I made it up.
E5 = Found it on tsn.

The best players on the ice were the penalty killers, but that also tells you the biggest problem that this team has.

No I know of, but I travel a lot for work now. Currently in Las Cruces, NM - been through Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas since Tuesday, heading to El Paso tomorrow...

I'm traveling with a guy from Raleigh - who now has some of my money...

Luongo wasn't bad tonight, but goes 3-5.

I said the same thing, after he stood there against the Kings and let a man have 3 shots against Lou while he stick checked the man I was hoping the 06/07 Bieska would show up in 07/08!

Still need 60 minutes of play ... haven't seen that much of it ... if at all yet this year ....

The Canucks are an ok team with some good players in key positions but they aren't one of those teams with so much talent oozing out that they can afford to play less than 60 minutes ... until they figure that out or get in the groove we will continue to see up and down games and an average record. I

t's a pretty competiive division they are in so it would be better sooner than later to figure it out. Two points is two points whether its now or in games 72-82 ...

Right Grizz, i saw the whole game on a replay last evening and there are mostly parts of the game which aren't bad, but it's not only important not to get goals but score someones in these parts.

That's what for example Carolina did, timely goals...

At least it's important at least to stay even and not to lose contact to the playoff race...
