Sportsnet is saying that Luongo is playing in this one as well. Maybe he'll get the day off against the Canes tomorrow, but I don't like playing our backup against a red-hot team. Even if they are from the Eastern Conference.
Pascal Leclaire seems to be finally living up to expectations and is leading the NHL in shutouts with 3. The Jackets look weak on paper again this year, but they've had a strong start to the season. This is another tough test.
I say 2-1 Nucks in the SO. Daniel with the only goal, Morrison with the Shootout winner.
GO CANUCKS GO
EDIT: Sanford is playing tonight according to 1040. This is a big test for him. He needs a solid showing to prove he can play 10-12 games this year.

Shots are now 20-6 for Columbus, halfway through the game. What's going on, folks?

Sanford must be standing on his head, eh? At least he's the one guy who showed up to play.

Shotless period... just sad. I don't know why, historically, the Vancouver Canucks have had so much difficulty building on success. While some teams are able to maintain a high level of play for decades, assimilate new players into their culture, etc., it seems every step forward the Canucks take in seasonal terms is followed by two steps back.
Why is a team who was so dominant last year so terrible this year? Was Jan Bulis that good?
