John Ashbridge's "last minute of play in the second period" was greeted with sarcastic applause by fans whose cash has already been counted by Aquilini's accountants.
The boo birds offered an even stronger, sustained boo after the Canucks gave an even weaker performance in the second period.
Last time the Canucks started a season wearing only blue, green and white uniforms was 1977-1978 when they finished 20-43-17, two points shy of the last Campbell Conference playoff berth.
The eternal orange, white and black Flyers, meanwhile, were 45-20-15 in 1977-1978 and lost in the Wales conference finals.
It's gonna be a long, long season

Yeah , but the Canucks also had pride when they wore the Pumpkin uniforms... and Tiger Williams This team looked like dishrags tonight... and rolled over way to easy.. No one challenging when the Captain took it.. and not much retaliation after the cheap hit on Kessler.. No ballzzzzz little talent poor defence and questionable goaltending .... Looked like the Mice against the NHL.. baddddddd game
Nuck fan Since 1970 and still no Cup
