The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.
Jelly. I agree with you. It was an open ice hit, much different than being rammed into the boards in any direction with a late hit. Of course, a big part of the problem with a late hit is too many times the person being hit, does not expect it and ends up in a vulnerable position. Clearly a late hit, with all the force Janssen could muster.
I think with this type of a hit, the suspension for three games was about right. Unless, the hitter has a bad rap sheet. If I am commissioner, he gets the same suspension in the playoffs.
