The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.
Had the leaves been a player away from being a Stanley Cup contender instead of lurking in the pretender status, management might have justified swapping Steen for an impact player like Pronger or Smyth.
wait...he's saying Steen is in the league of Smyth and Pronger? .. WHAT DO THEY SMOKE AT SPORTSNET....
Uless he's in a package with like 3 first rounders, i wouldn't trade Smyth or Pronger
I find that I hate TSN Toronto media far more that I hate Sportsnet Toronto media....these clowns think that the leaves are in every trade....so far I heard that the leaves would not let go of any of there young guys for THORNTON, PRONGER & NOW SMYTH...ya right...Toronto does not have the depth or draft picks (cuz they have traded them all away) to make any of these deals.
Steen may be a player in the future but I'm positive that the leaves would give him up in a heart beat to land any of the above players....even though they are a retarded franchise...

The Oilers wanted Kaberle, Steen and first for Pronger but JFJ wouldn't budge....
and fine, don't have sportsnet and don't have any Canucks on TV.
