1975 Game 1 play-off game summary?

Post by dp#12 »

i have a digital clip with hi-lights of the game 1 loss to the habs at teh forum.

i was fortunate to volunteer at the richard brodeur golf tourney and ran into

gerrry o'flaherty , who expressed a STRONG desire to get a copy.

he had a good game, was in on the scoring , and appears several times in the clip.

i was hoping to find a copy of the game summary to add to the disc.

any suggestions?

footage from teh 70's and even early 80s are hard to find , so if anyone has any they want to trade, give me a holler.

{Note to mods: i am not a seller and if even trading is not allowed , this newbie apologizes profusely and would abide by forum rules}

btw , most of the canucks alumni are at the point in their lives when watching themselves in the "glory days" has a nostalgic appeal.

the guys i mentiioned this too, all wanted to see it.

and i wish the hi-lights were from game 2 instead, the canucks first ever victory in 29 games over the habs.

why the hell did maloney start lockett over smith in game 1?

Copyright is still a really vague area (I'm going to a conference on the subject in the fall, and don't expect to be any more enlightened when I come out of it); but I should think that this stuff not only could but ought to be shared, unless it's been officially released for sale somewhere. Just look at all the video montages people have pointed us to in the recent past. And I myself would love to see it, 'cause I didn't have a tv back then (and was three years old anyway).

So put it up on youtube and give us a link!

This is great stuff. It's the first time I've seen 70s-era hockey. Wow, the hair and the lack of helmets! Wish the story had a happier ending, though... and that the announcer did more than recite stats and worship the Habs.

Thanks, dp12. And anybody who's got more of this stuff, put it up and let us know where to see it; I'm sure people would be interested in checking out the history of the team (and of the game).

i have a pretty good digital archive of nucklehead clips.

if anyone saw the Global tv set of 7 players vieing for the title of

"Greatest Canuck", i recorded all the segments and turned them into
.WMV clips.

best part for me was watching stan smyl at rookie camp wearing the original jerseys scrapping like a pitbull , first time i ever saw him in the white , green and blue ones.

another personal fave is the don cherry segment on bure elbowing churla in 94.

my canucks grail clip?

i wanna see the 45 seconds of hockey before moore hit naslund, i've never seen more than the 3 second newsclip.
