Now appearing in Ottawa...

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Now appearing in Ottawa...

Post by Jyrki21 »

...is me! I've been pretty MIA for awhile as my life grew moderately more complex with a move to Ottawa. It will soon grow far more complex with the beginning of a new job, which means I shall be MIA again.

Anyone here familiar with this place beyond what I've discovered in a few visits? e.g. Any place to get Old Dutch potato chips? Any place where BCers hang out to watch Canuck games? (I knew all the secrets in Toronto... here I'm just a newbie).

Congratulations on the move - I'm sure you'll find a place to watch games. If I can find Old Dutch in Vegas, I think you'll find them there.

Ha - I wonder how many of us are superstitious in other parts of our lives? Or is it just our hockey rituals?

Just in case of the Canucks.

For example i still have a small Santa Claus with lights hanging on my wall, he's outfitted with a Canucks toque and a small Canucks hockey stick and i won't put him off 'til the streak since christmas is over.

ps: If the streak lasts a little bit longer i'll make a pic.

The streak started when I recieved my Trevor Linden rookie cards off e-bay, and he started putting up pointsI miss the prayers too, but agreed, leave it alone for now.
Big point game coming up against Miny.
The Linden cards only cost $3.99 for three!?! Nice keeper for me and vry cool Christmas gift for cousins.

The main reason I stopped is that I started getting busy in preparation for my move here to start new work. Perhaps later on they'll resume, we'll see.

And people, I can't stress this enough... they're readings, not prayers! I don't want to be blasphemous in my own religion, or anyone else's...! ;)
