News 1130 Sports in Vancouver is reporting the death of former Vancouver Canuck George Gardner. Gardner was the teams first ever goaltender as they broke into the National Hockey League.

Gardner was found Monday morning at his home in Florida, and the cause is yet to be determined.

Gardner played for the Western Hockey Leagues Canucks, the NHL's Canucks and Detroit Red Wings.

George Gardner, dead at the age of 64.
Gardner went 9-22-4 as a Canuck with a 3.77 GAAover 2 season in our first 2 years. . IT was his only NHL action as a Canuck he played for the red wings years before. .

RIP fellow goalie.
